Default Unrevoked3

So I have finally decided to root and explore the wilderness...
When I upgraded 2.2, I found out about the HBOOT issue.
I checked on unrevoked3 and it says it supports all versions of all listed devices. I was just checking to make sure that my phone wouldn't DBU if I did this. Just a security measure.
Also, is there a chance of it getting bricked?
Info:
Version: 2.2.2
Kernel version: 2.6.32.21-g7857ec7
Build/software number 2.20.502.1
Browser Version: WebKit 3.1
Serial Number:HT08NR002500
