I figured I'd remove the account and set it up again to see if that helped resolve the issue. Now I can't connect to my account at all. I'm sure I have the right settings but I get an Authentication error telling me to check my username and password. I'm POSITIVE that I am entering the right username and password but still no joy... I've confirmed that the phone shows in the Mobile Devices tab in my Exchange mailbox so I know that the server remembers seeing it at least once.
Anyone have an idea where I can start to troubleshoot this?

You could try going into Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications and try clearing data on both HTC Sync and Email apps and see if that helps.
