I would assume so...no one else has mms issues with their cricket phones after flashing CM7.
I use metropcs...
thats the thing every one uses metro pcs and not cricket. and theres is a fix t=for the mms issue for metro and idk about cricket thats why i want to make sure before i update it again to the 2.3.4 cm7

the fix for cricket is already built into the rom, and for metro we had to get one built.

If your phone is not lazy, you may be able to go with 0912 build.. if it is.. 0913 (only difference is the kernel is only 710mhz vs 748) me personally i had issues with the newest (0912) but i think my ascend is trying to give me a hint because the only thing that didnt work is i had no sound.. went back to 0728 and it works fine with mms (on metro though after metroff).. i always had issues with mms so i dl'ed apn manager from 81 square from the market.. its free.. make sure the cricket is checked (in your case) and it worked.. htc and iphones mms always came through sporadictly but within the past two months or so they started to be almost flawless.. but still have their moments.. with me making no changes.. its hit or miss sometimes i think.. depending on the provider imho half the time.. anyways.. long story short.. flash cm7..
flash gapps.. reboot.. fill out the initial questions.. reboot after it syncs.. run apn manager, click cricket (sorry if i'm off here i am on metro and it was never checked), reboot again.. give it a little time.. (download a few apps you want, make some coffee, drink a beer, whatever lol).. reboot again.. it needs to settle..
Sidenote.. I've always followed this for flashing.. but i'm on metro and its always been a pain with mms at times... works good though for me now.. hope it helps

The "LAZY" term is referring to whether your particular handset can tolerate the CPU being overclocked past it's original factory clocking of 600 MHZ.
The majority of ASCENDS can tolerate O/C up to 710 MHZ,a few more,(748 MHZ).
Unfortunately, some do not tolerate overclocking very well,to varying degrees.
That is why some updates of CM7 are available w/overclocking to 672 MAX(aka the LAZY version of a particular update).
The typical overclock maximum setting for ASCEND CM7 ROMS is 710,w/a few versions available @ higher overclocking for those fortunate enough to have one of the handsets that can tolerate the highest stable overclocking of 729 to 748 MHZ,depending upon which update is flashed.

Wipe and format everything again and reflash. (Format everything except the sd card) then flash the gapps, the go to advanced and select fix permissions and reboot.

I have the latest version of cm7 the 091211 from here and when I go to make a call a get a dsp manager force close. After I close it I usually dont have a problem until I reboot my phone and then the first call it will close again. It doesnt affect anything that I can tell. I even wiped out and formatted everything and reinstalled fresh and i still get the force close on dsp manager when I place a call. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it? Thanks

Go into CWM or ROM MANAGER & run "FIX PERMISSIONS".

All cm7 builds take awhile to pinpoint location.. Sometimes a couple minutes.. Navigation usually syncs quickest for me.. Just gotta be patient with it..

A trick to pin point it faster enable the wireless location box above the gps box. It help some people

Yeah its weird.. Had issues with HTC and Iphones for awhile but now out of the blue they work.. Think it may have to do with all the upgrading Metro is doing.. Thats just a guess though.. I always run APN Manager though just to make sure Metro is enabled..

my friend has an iphone could that be the reason why? and my friend from sprint has a droid idk which on though and i wasnt getting the pics at all. and that was for the 09132011 update and then i flashed the 07082011 file and i wasnt getting pics from my friend who has verizon. i got pics from my gf who has att and then i was getting pics from my friend who has sprint. is it the phone or the phone carrier? also whne i flashed the 0913 file my phone kept rebooting and it kept foreclosing all the apps i opened.

I dont have an answer for the MMS. I never had the problem personally so Im not sure.
For the rebooting that could be caused by overclocking or when you wiped and formatted everything in CWR it didnt wipe everything. Also recommended to run fix permissions in CWR before rebooting after you flash the rom and the gapps.

Wipe all of that then go to mounts and storage and format everything except the sd card. SD Ext is okay to format but not the sd card itself. If you do it will wipe your sd card.

Rebooting and FCs yeah. And for the MMS I have no clue. Like Ive said Ive never had an issue at all with MMS and never really flashed the MetrOff to fix the MMS issue for MetroPcs users and still never had problems. And others have had the problem but as far as I know theres no fix for it or sometimes it works and sometimes it dont.

I have the same mms problem. It's with iPhones and Droid X2s. I read somewhere that if you change a setting from 1 to 1.2 it will fix it. I'm high and don't remember what setting. ..

I finally took the plunge yesterday, and love having the playfulgod 7.2 mod for the ascend. It is awesome!! If you do decide to do it, make sure you download and use flash recovery version 3.0.0.5 I didn't the first time I tried and almost screwed up. Like someone else said read the directions carefully and us youtube as a guide, you will love the outcome!!

I am not wanting to sound like a butt kisser, but I love your mod (playfulgod cm7.2- ascend). It is a great compared to the crappy 2.2.2 stock deal. Can't wait for the next new and improved mod of yours.. I do have on question though.. I have found that the main hard buttons at the bottom of the screen disappear. I have to reboot the phone to get them back. Is there a way to fix that or did I do something wrong?

I don't see us getting any new updates. So I customize my phone as much, as I can. I have Beats Audio/SRS, I also have Beats Audio Boot Animation, Music2-Beats.APK so when I play music the beats logo pops up on notification bar. Plus I have some apps that came out for Jelly Bean.
