Flashing CM7 on huawei ascend m860 manually

Months ago I upgraded my metro PCS huawei ascend from a 2.1 to 2.2 froyo (the metro PCS version) through wifi.(Phone is rooted) Now I'd like to upgrade to 2.3 CM7 gingerbread. Im really impressed with the added features,UI, etc. I've seen different ROM versions out there and many installation how-to's. I already installed 3 different CM7 roms on my sd card-including a more recent one, (no PC, using turbo downloader from market to download). I don't know which one of these will run smooth and is compatible with my device→ CM7-Ascend-05142011 -signed.zip , CM7.1RC1-Ascend-07272011_signed.zip, CM7.2-Ascend-09132011-signed.zip,I dont know which to run. Do the files have to be downloaded exclusively from a pc? Does it matter how the files are downloaded? Dont wanna end up doing more harm then good since I don't have a PC or USB cable. can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to upgrade my (metro pcs) huawei ascend m860 to 2.3 gingerbread straight from my phone (with the right

If you got clockwork recovery working check the ultimate guide and follow the instructions for flashing cm7.
I still haven't gotten a response from koush regarding rom manager.
Also, try 7.2 first and don't forget the gapps and metroff zip files.

others as well as i, had to flash/redownload cwmrecovery 2 times for it to work properly. or it will hang on the huawei logo forever.
i did mine 100% from my phone last night, using the lazy ascend i believe its the cm7.1rc1. it's nice, adw as a launcher, sound eq. and boost. my phones disconnected so i dont know if my text's or mms are working (dwnlad'd metroff installed)

as for your answer, i followed the cm7 easy installation guide, it tells you how to do it manually, and worked for me.
