Wonder if the Asus Rep raised his fingers slightly when he made statements 1 and 2 ? These aren't the droids your looking for. He can go about his business. Move along.
Asus also responded to the rumor of delays due to Wifi issues by saying there were none and there would be no delay. I guess that was only a partial lie since they did release on time  .
Regardless the price was legit and there are confirmed price matches. I have also seen confirmed price matches from people who were turned down but called multiple times and got matched.
