Default Barely audible feedback?

The audible feedback in both Settings/Sound/Touch sounds and in Settings Language & input and enabling sound on either the Android or ASUS keyboards is barely audible. Almost any ambient sound drowns these sounds out.

The, barely audible, sound for selecting items reminds me of the bell sound you used to hear in department stores. I'm starting to find this sound annoying.

To compensate for the lack of sound I enabled Vibrate for selecting and typing in addition to sound. There is no vibrate. Or my Prime does not vibrate.

I rely on audible feedback because I have a disability that causes me to not feel that I'm touching the screen.

Is there any way to increase or change these feedback sounds? I like the Prime but this issue will cause me to return it.

Also is the no vibration in the Prime?

I have the low ding turned on and kind of like it. But in your situation you really need to know if you have touched a button. I have vibrate turned on as well but it seems to be hit or miss as to when it actually vibrates. I know when I turn my sound all the way down it really vibrates so it does work on mine which leads me to believe it is how the apps are using the vibrate hardware. I suggest checking the market for accessibility apps for people that have a condition similar to you. You might find a better input method.

EDIT - Try this and see if it helps:
IDEAL Accessibility Installer - Android Market

Unfortunately SoundBack is not compatible with the Prime.
