Default External Harddrive

I'm sorry if this is covered already, I did search around a little first. Basically I want to use an external harddrive for my prime. I know this can be done. Im going away with the army for 9 months and want to rip a bunch of my blu rays to a harddrive so I will have some entertainment and not rely on the internet. I'm looking for something at least 1 TB but would happily buy something larger. Does anyone have experi

Not all of your message above is showing. Not sure if you were going to ask about brands of external HDD, or how to use it with the TPrime, however I'm going to assume it's the latter.

I found this video with a quick google search: Testing USB accessories on Transformer Prime: mouse, flash drive, external hard-drive - YouTube

Start at around the 3:55 mark. Seems pretty simple, assuming you have the dock. Connect the drive via the USB port on the dock. It should show you the drive connecting in the tray at bottom right, and you should be able to launch it from there using the file manager.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply, though I was actually asking the former. I realize my post got cut off sorry. Do I have compatibility issues? If I see a 2-3 TB drive will it work? Or do certain drives not work.

Not sure. best bet would be to email Asus customer support or post in their support forums. Sorry.

Don't need dock. Just USB adapter.

With USB adapter, you can hook up almost anything. Like, 25-30 bucks. INVALUABLE. you can hook up hard drives, card readers, mice, keyboards...
Much cheaper route than dock if you just need connectivity.
