I'm in the US and got my update today. Now I'm screwed. I've used the reset hole, pressed the power button and volume down button, pressed the power button and volume up button and all I get is the ASUS Inspiring Innovation.Persistent Perfection screen. It wont power off either. That screen keeps popping up even when I hold down the power button.
HELP ME PLEASE.

Run the battery flat and see what happens when you charge it and boot it after that.
Failing that call ASUS.

I got my update on Sunday night. No problems installing. I don't notice much improvement in performance. Google Now is a good addition. I can see it being popular once on phones.
10.4.2.15 for WW, further down the description references TW SKU, instead of WW SKU... is this just a typo on the part of Asus? (ie. the first one should be TW, not WW)
If so, hopefully no one borked their Primes by inadvertently downloading the wrong file. >_<

Everytime I've tried to update firmware, my tab says a firmware update is available, check notification area.
There's nothing in notification area and the Check Update button goes dark and I cannot press it.
I close the settings window, remove it from recent apps and then go back again and same result. Weird. I've received firmware upgrades before as I picked a tablet up on release and never had this problem.
Tried restarting the tab and same result.
I restarted again and took it off AC power (charging it) and I went to settings to check firmware upgrade, same message and button still dimmed, but now the firmware shows downloading in the notification bar. Odd, maybe it was the power? I don't know. Maybe weak wifi? Not sure.

Cool. How do I update this manually? I have the file on the root of the "SD card". I figured I could boot to stock recovery and update from the zip file, but I can't seem to get to recovery...

Download it on a pc. Unzip the download......once. Do not unzip anything again. Put contents of unzip on root of SD card. The tablet will find the update on the card and will notify you. Very easy.

I am in UK and still no ota update. Would someone be really kind and be willing to give precise instructions - I guess these are my issues:
Exactly which file - there seem to be three
Unzip once - is this right click and extract?
Put on SD card - is this just connecting to pc and drag and drop onto the Prime?
I thought I had done above but nothing happened so I removed teh file and am non the wiser.
Would be grateful if someone could get me through this!
Download the firmware version for your tablet to your PC's desktop.
Extract that zip to your desktop...the output will be another zip file.
Plug the prime into your PC and open it in my computer. Open the internal storage directory.
Drag the newly extracted zip file into that internal storage directory on the prime.
When I unplugged the tablet from the PC I got a notification that the prime detected an update file. I tapped the notification to start the process, sat back, and waited.
All done.
Hope this helps!

Ok the reason it didnt work before was because I was using the TW one - it now looks as though it is making progress - will let you know when finished.
One other question - do I have to do a system restore it will it be fine without?
No luck here. Download fails everytime and then you have a greyed out check box. I have lost count of the times I have tried this. :/ The system will not even notice the manual download.

To try to help you, I put the update on my spare SD card, right alongside the .28 ICS firmware. I owe you a favor for turning me onto the .28 root method.
The update notification popped up as soon as I inserted the drive.....and then gave me a choice of .28 or JB. Pretty cool......never knew it would give you a choice if you had multiple choices.
To be clear: I downloaded the JB update, unzipped it once......and put the resulting file directly onto the root of the SD card.

Thanks Rafael. Still no joy here, I may have to do a factory reset or revert my FW. But I just don't have the time atm to bugger about with it. :/
Strange thing is it did start downloading but hung at 65%. I rebooted to start a'fresh and thats what has buggered it. But I normally have to do that on a OTA update and don't have an issue until now.

At this point I not planning to load JB.
I have been down this road with other devices and most often I regret updating to a version that is unrootable. I am at least 3 updates behind on my Casio Commando phone and the more I read of other users experiences; the happier I am that I stayed with an old version.
If a root method comes for the TF201 with JB....I will load it the same day.
They told me to power it down, remove the sd card which I had already done to keep from losing my "stuff", hold down the volume down then press and hold the power button until I got a screen that said "wipe data" which I did not get. If I had gotten that screen they wanted me to wipe my data.
Good news. I went to Best Buy today and long story short they swapped my Prime out for an Infinity even trade. Wooohooo. See y'all in the Infinity forum.

So.... you're waiting for a root method for JB so you can update? No sure I understand, if you're rooted now, why don't you just flash a JB rom?

If you load Craig Gomez's version, it comes rooted and unlocked, and installing TWRP is as simple as doing a couple of fastboot commands. That's what I'm on, and it is wonderful. It's far smoother and more stable than any of the AOSP-based JB ROMs I have used, and it is miles ahead of the ICS stock firmware.

I may look into what you are describing, but I will need to do some studying since I have no knowledge of Gomez, TWRP, fastboot, nor AOSP. Might as well be a foriegn language.

This probably isn't the issue but make sure there's a good connection to your AP when trying to download. I think that was an issue when I was trying to upgrade.
Well I'm round relations atm and they have a proper connection compared to mine.. I noticed it picked up the firmware, although i'm not sure if it picked up the manual file or downloaded it. Not that it matters as one it started applying the FW the old Android fell over.
So it looks like a full restore and start again for me. I would like to restore it to stock first, but i'm not 100% sure if this can be done without unlocking the bootloader.

How exactly is one supposed to acquire TWRP?
The website has no links that I can find.
The "Please select your device" button on the upper right just takes you to a different screen........no chance of selecting a device.
I hope the program runs better than that horrible website.
