select main movie from the left on the start screen. it will let you pick exactly what you want to extract. it usually selects the right movie track for you, then you select the sound and caption tracks to use.
If you're using the stock browser go to the icon in the top right corner to locate settings. If using Dolphin use the setting icon at bottom left select 'more' then 'settings'then 'Dolphin settings' then 'useragent' and click 'desktop'

I have attached a screen shot and I dont see what you are talking about. The movie here is selected at the top of the screen. Does this look like what you have?

sry for the late reply, you have to select dvd/blu ray copy. The ripper or video converter options won't allow you to change anything. Those are also trial features so you won't be able to use them for long without paying. The copy sections are what you want. They will give you an unencrypted folder for the movies, then you can use your own video converter. I recommend handbrake.

Thanks. I did figure out how to change the type of audio that was copied. At the bottom of the screen there is a profile listed and an edit button next to it. By clicking the edit button I was able to change the audio from 5.3 to stereo. The sound on the recordings is now okay. Thanks again for your help.
I've seen this listed in other threads but to keep your browser from going to mobile sites go to settings then Advanced then User Agent String and select Desktop. When I had Tablet selected it would constantly switch to mobile versions.
Just an aside, the facebook app absolutely stinks compared to the full web site which works perfectly for me.
It may be worth adding that personally on my tablet I only found the "advanced" option once a webpage was open in the top right corner and not in "settings" generally.
Cheers.
Andrew

Keepass works real well when combined with dropbox. Roboform is good as well. I've been using roboform on my pc's for about 10 years and it's excellent

Anybody know of a good music player for the Transformer? I have used Power Amp on my phone and it's great...but doesn't work with the Transformer for now...thanks
we got our TF from Staples in Colliers Wood, London. had seen the tablet at Currys previously but no keyboard although we could have bought them both on line, but being the types to try before we buy we wanted to see both parts and try them out for ourselves before committing to buy. Was watching and waiting to see who would have both and they seem to be the first one out there to get both the tablet and the keyboard. Happy for us to play with them before we decided, although I am convinced my husband's mind was made up to buy before we got there anyway :-)
Absolutely no regrets with the purchase.

so, looking for a good password keeper and there are so many out there. keepass seems to pop up regularly. i am a dropbox user so want something that will sit comfortably there also (or do i need this anyway?). would love a poll, keepass or roboform (or other comparable product)
also, just how safe is the encryption? feels a bit counterintuitive to record all your passwords in one place (fighting the paranoia).

Is there a way to "wake up" the display while docked, with the keyboard? I've pretty much pressed every key available and it seems like the button on the table itself needs to be pressed?

There's an option under settings - screen. Check if the mobiledock powersave is enabled.

not sure if others have this issue...but the mouse pointer is hard to see sometitimes especially in bright light..anyone know how to change how it appears? I can't find anything in the settings..thx
A big +1 for KeePass/Dropbox. VERY useful. If Dropbox would allow automatic syncing, it would be even better. To do that, I'm using RealSync ( http://bit.ly/nK3KA1 ); pro version is €2.49 (about $3.50), the main difference being that you can't sync more than 15 files per job in the free version.
To get back to the main topic of TF-specific tips: anyone who has the keyboard dock should definitely get Dual Battery Widget. ( http://bit.ly/kMo3GV )

I absolutely fell in love with PowerAMP on my Droid, and it seems to be working just fine on my TF. It even scales to the screen size extremely well. For the record, I have the paid version installed, never bothered to test the trial version on the TF.

What part of it isn't working for you?
It just won't play. I emailed their support & they replied it's a known issue & will be fixed in version 2.0

That's really bizarre. I wonder what's different between our tablets? I haven't rooted mine yet, have all the current updates. Your profile says you're in FL, so I assume we both have the US version. I can't think of anything else that would make a difference.
Anyone else tried PowerAMP on the TF?
Meanwhile...personally, if I was having trouble with PowerAMP but knew it would be fixed, I would probably make do with the standard player. It supports gapless playback for OGG, at least. I haven't tested anything else on the TF (except Songbird, which I thought was horrible).
Got wifi tethering to work with htc evo 3d and asus transformer. http://androidforums.com/evo-3d-all-things-root/386024-s-off-su-done-but-android-tether-doesnt-work.html#post3029214 The above app. Make sure you do not use special characters as a passphrase for wpa2. There is a few errors and problems with the above members, the transformer seems a little sluggish to load webpages, but it does work. Before you thank me, thank novo77, because he is the one that found the app.

I finally found the solution!
Pressing "Alt" then pressing "e" or "a" (for example) gives you é and á!
I actually tried this on my computer now too and it works there as well, silly me!

This requires your phone and TF to be rooted, correct?

Neither my Nexus S nor my TF are rooted and tethering my TF through the phone's WiFi hotspot works just fine. I do have a 6gig data plan with tethering though.
I don't know if I'm the only stupid one, but just incase there are others who didn't notice, the 3.2 firmware brought VPN with it. It's in the wireless&networks settings.
Note that after you type in the info, you need to tap the top-right of the screen to save the connection...not very intuitive.

Did you managed to get it to work though. I tried my VPN connection with 3 android phone and this one and it never worked, but it does on the desktop.
But then I followed the instruction to enable OpenVPN instruction from xda which is even better. User shouldn't have to go through all the loops for these things though, comparing to my previous Maemo phone.

I installed equalizer as a substitute and I'm pretty impressed when used in combination with the stock music player. I even went ahead and paid for it after using the free version
Image Viewer, don't they all suck! After some digging around, I found QuickPic, an free app that can search all directories for images, list them as a galleries with their location and how many images are inside. Scrolling enable with flicking, pan and zoom and no selection need! I also use it to read comics
partridge, you can also control the swipes on the same side with a small flick. IE: on the left side put your finger in about an inch and flick left, it will of course go to the right, but NOW put your finger in about a half of an inch, before the BLUE LINE and flick as it goes towards the left.

I posted this on the XDA forums, but as some of you dont have access, or may not visit that site I am posting it here as well.
hope it helps someone.
I will add more as I think of them or find new solutions to problems.
1. Try MultiPicture if you are having problems getting Wallpapers to work on the tablet, it scales the image to fit the screen, so you won’t get your image cropped or distorted. Use a 1280x800, 72dpi image for perfect results. In MultiPicture settings, you can disable the homescreen scrolling so that the image stays still when you flip through your homescreens. You can also use different pictures on each homescreen if you like.
2. Use a static picture as wallpaper, live wallpapers are fun but seem to slow down the home screen transitions slightly in Honeycomb still.
3. Rockplayer, Vplayer and Moboplayer are all great apps that support almost every movie format and codec out there, they allow you to play movie files on the tablet that aren’t supported out of the box. You may have to select the Software decoding option in Rockplayer to get some formats working.
4. If you don’t already have it, install Windows Media Player 11 or higher on your PC and add any folders that you would like to be able to access from the Transformer to the library in WMP. (don’t forget to share them in windows as well by right clicking them and going to the sharing option etc.)
5. Install the app UPnPlay, it will make viewing your shared media much easier. It also allows you to choose the app you want to view media with, so you can choose Rockplayer or Vplayer etc to stream your movies.
6. Plex is another good app for accessing shared media, you have to install a server application on your PC and add any folders you want to be shared to the server application, then run the tablet app. It’s very simple and it adds cover art etc to your movies by searching the files meta data.
7. Install File Manager HD, it’s a great tablet optimised file manager and it can see your network shared files once you add a new W-lan connection. Use 192.168.0.2 (or your PC’s IP address), your Windows log on name and your Windows password.
8. If you are looking for a good news reader for your tablet, try News 360, it has a great interface and works really well. It has the option to show local news as well as national/international.
9. A great Magazine app recently released for Honeycomb is Zinio, try the version from the market, its slightly different to the one on the transformer, I prefer the UI. Zinio has a large and growing selection of magazines, its interface is great and the magazines look amazing on the transformers screen.
10. ACV is a brilliant comic viewer that reads most comic formats, it works well on the tablet.
11. Extended Controls is a brilliant app/widget that lets you add controls for virtually every setting on your tablet to your homescreen, for example WiFi or Bluetooth and even a toggle to force a media scan (useful if you have just transferred files to your tablet and they aren’t showing in the gallery etc.)
12. Plume is the Twitter app I am using, it has a great tablet optimised interface and a brilliant widget.
13. It’s still a bit choppy and laggy sometimes, but try out the website TVCatchup Mobile for free to air UK television channels, a huge selection of free channels that play about 5 seconds behind live TV. Wifi recommended but I have had it working on 3G. Some channels work better than others. Try changing your browser agent from android to desktop or even iPhone to get a better result.
14. TV Guide UK is just that, a great TV guide for your tablet, it’s not Honeycomb optimised and runs in portrait mode, but it works well and has a great interface. You can filter the channels in the settings to just show the channels you have or want to see.
Thank you so much for this post, I've been trying to get a fullscreen pic as a wallpaper since I got this thing. Lol
Also, a tip I'll share is that ADW Launcher is a great way to get you a nice dock with a lot of icons.
