Default AC3 Audio won't play

I've tried a number of players, Mobo Player, Rockplayer and a few others but the the audio just will not play.

I can understand it not playing the 5.1 audio, but 2 channel audio won't play either.

Crazy considering my Galaxy S2 even plays the AC3 5.1 audio perfectly with it's stock player.

It's not working with any of my mkv files, I would have to recode them all, massive waste of time.

Would mean having two media collections, one for my PC and phone and another just for the Eee Pad.

EDIT: Audio works with Vplayer but the video is messed up and it's out of sync.

there's a good number of problems with mkv's. I use mp4 containers from now on. Get you a good batch video converter, that will make it a little easier to swallow.

Diceplayer works but is a little unstable.

I really don't want to recode everything if I don't have too.

Neither did I, full length movies (especially HD) are a pain. The other option is to stream to the TF. I use Tversity. Ps3 media server and WMP 11 will also work too.

Not just Vplayer works with the AC3, but I found that either the video is choppy with the various players I tried for the MKV files, or the video runs well (even smoothly with some), but on the ones where video runs well, there is no sound...gave up the search for now, and will wait for a patch or for someone else to find it :/
