Angry help I feel like a n00b

I have just got my first tablet, Asus tf101. And I am feeling very much like a n00b.
Trying to put some films (.avi) from my pc to tablet and I am going mad.
I have a micro sd (32gb) and micro sd to usb adapter. I transferred the files to the micro sd, then put it in the tablet only one was there and I couldn't get it play with picture (using MX player)
I have now ticket the s/w box in mx player and that one file works.
But the others are not there.
Put the micro sd back in pc and files are all gone bar two. A LOST.dir is not there. One of the films is not only 14 min long and plays on hi speed.
I have copied the files back and forth same keeps happening.
All play on my computer, until i put them on the sd card, then once in the tablet they disappear.
Now the sd card won't work at all and won't format! I think I'm going mad here!

Sounds like either a bad uSD or the reader is bad. Can you use the USB cable that came with the tf101?

Do you have another uSD? If so put it in the tf101 and format it there then copy the files via the USB cable.
