Question Dvorak typing option for upcoming Asus Prime 700

63 year old newbie here.

Just curious if the upcoming Asus Transformer Prime, to be released in June 2012, will have a Dvorak typing input option? If it won't, is there another Android tablet you would recommend that does allow for Dvorak users? Thank you. - Tony

I don't think I have seen anything about any Dvorak input options for the original transformer or the prime, but the prime has already been released in the US (not sure about EU/International release).

Appreciate the reply. Thank you. I thought the new Prime 700 (Demo at 2012 CES) was to be released in June. Do you know who is carrying that version now? Perhaps I could call someone there. Again, thanks.

Just saw the following article, so it will be released this summer.

Asus declared that a better, updated HD model of the hybrid laptop/tablet ASUS Transformer Prime TF201 will be launched in the month of June 2012. The latest version Asus Transformer Prime TF700 is an improved version of the original Prime TF201 which has faced some serious Wi-Fi related issues.

Besides no issues with Wi-Fi, the new version will also have a better display screen of 1920 x 1200 resolution. The chassis has been improvised and the front facing camera enhanced from 1.2MP to 2MP.

But no mention of the Dvorak input option. If anyone knows someone who would know, I'd appreciate that direction. Thanks.

My mistake. I misinterpreted what you wrote. I was under the impression that you were referring to the original Transformer Prime. I don't know when the TFP HD is coming out, but it's safe to assume that whatever accessories the TFP currently has will be the same ones compatible with the HD version. Spec wise, not much is changing besides a higher resolution screen.

You would likely find more success in contacting the ASUS support line.

I'm looking to purchase my first tablet--probably an Asus Transformer.

I am also curious to know about the availability of Dvorak keyboard compatibility on the 700 model.

Thanks - John.
