Network tablet with PC

I'm trying to network the tablet to our PC. I downloaded ES File Explorer. But, I can't get the tablet to logon to our network; it just stays at authenticating. I do have the PC and our laptop connected with a Win7 homegroup. The tablet connects fine as guest to the web. Is this a router issue?
