How do web pages display?

Hello all, I have a quick, if not silly, question. Do the web pages show up as mobile web pages or as desktop web pages with 4.0? I haven't had a chance to get my hands on one in a store yet.

I think it was just one site in particular that I was having trouble with on my Galaxy Player. I have been able to toggle between the mobile and desktop versions on other sites. Thank you.
