That app has not got a very good rating. People report that it is very buggy. In reality I suspect it probably needs Adobe Reader to work. You should already have Adobe Reader on your Tablet, but if you haven't you can download it from the Play Store.
But before doing that I suggest you delete the Freading app altogether and try downloading and installing it again.
Also have a look at the detailed description for Freading in Play Store, which sets out how it is used. As I understand it you have to download the book first via your web browser using the library's website, into this app (not sure how!). It says it uses Adobe ID for authentication. I have never heard of that before.
