1986 Dodge 600: Seeing the picture of this car brings back many memories of my senior year of high school. The Dodge 600 coupe I had was a hard top though. My sister gave it to me when she flew away to college.

1987 Toyota pickup: This was what I drove when my Dodge was broken. Great little truck. If I could find one like this now but a 4x4 I would buy it. So I could beat around my property hauling dirt and gravel. Easy to fix. So reliable. This was towards the end of my senior year in high school.

1992 Ford Escort GT: I really liked this car. I gave it to my mom when I bought this bad boy-- my all time favorite car to this day, wait for it...

1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX: Turbo AWD black on black leather. I LOVE THIS CAR. But I was a 19 year old at the time who abused the car and raced it waaay too much. But its cool though, I'll never find another like it. Its time has passed. I miss it a lot. Even though it was just a car it was the first one I had ever financed and I took care of it so well other than running it hard all the time. I kep it clean and changed the fluids. I took apart the engine and fixed things my self. I learned a lot about this car and that is probably why I got so attached to it. But anyway... moving on... (by the way this is a picture of somebody elses. But it looks almost exactly like the one I had, my rims were nicer though. And mine was a little lower. But I had no sunroof).

2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 S: This is what I have now. It is my daily driver and it used to be the family car. Great MPG. Manual transmission. And very boring. But hey, I am almost 30 now with 2 kids and one due in November. I have to wait until my mid life crisis to get another toy.

2004 GMC Envoy: My wife drives this. Family hauler, grocery getter and solidifies my life into boring-ness.

And that concludes my life span of cars. Someday I'll get a toy, someday...

In the future

I don't have my first car anymore but it was an Infiniti G37. I gave it to my brother so I could take his G35 back to CA for my parents to sell. My new ride for the next few years is...

How did you like that Infiniti? We have a 20GT, and I hate all the power stuff on it.
Only good thing - it handles fairly well, and it's a stick.
Current vehicle: 96 4x4 Tacoma SX. Love that truck.
Only other car I'd want - 1962-64 Triumph TR4. I had a Spitfire.

I liked my car a lot but of course its not without it's issues. The biggest problem for me was the gas mileage. If I did only city, which was most of the time since I didn't go out of Bloomington, the gas mileage would be below 15 MPG. A mixture of highway and city would be about 20-22MPG, which was basically the normal amount. I did also have some weird problem where my windows would occassionally go down overnight. It happened like 3-4 times before I took it to the dealership. The positives I guess were that I got a lot of compliments on the car... even by a policeman who pulled me over a long time ago. lol The interior is really nice and I love the navigation system. My brother is going to take my car and have it repainted in a dark red since he doesnt like white (my fav color). Since I'm going to be in Manhattan for a long time, it would've been a big waste to just let it sit at home and make my parents keep paying insurance and whatever else on it.

My first car was a 1971 Olds Cutlass, I don't have any good pics of it. Here's one I stole off the web.

My current two cars are my red sled, and my Mountaineer. I drive the Mountaineer more than the other since it gets better gas mileage. I took the pic of the Mountaineer the day I drove it off the lot. Isn't that always the best part of buying the car?

All images borrowed, but in correct trim and colors. Also my classics that either stayed in project form or are in the midst don't get pics since they aren't done.

First car - 1996 Mercury Sable GS. Bought in 1998 every option but CD. Piece of shit, broke constantly. 2 computers and one rewire, 3 transmissions, gauge cluster/headlights just to name a few. So glad my grandmother stipulated that the money I inherited for a car had to have a warranty purchased as well.

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T - Bought as non running restification project and sold a week later for stupid profit.

1965 Pontiac 2+2 - 421 with a 4-bbl. I loved that thing, but it was too nice and rare to do what I wanted to do with it. Also I bleed Pentastar when it comes to classics.

2002 Chrysler Concorde LXi - Great car, could carry 5 people and 4-5 bodies in the trunk and get great mileage whilst looking pretty damn good for a modern car.

1968 Dodge Charger - My dream car, the only year with circular taillights. Originally only had 3 options; 383, hood mounted turn signals, and console. Just want I wanted, a big block without a lot of options so I'd have no guilt while I am tearing it apart for a 440 and modifying the chassis. The only car I am certain I will have when I die.

Current Daily driver, 2007 MAZDASPPED3 GT - 0-60 in under 6 seconds and I average nearly 27mpg enjoying the hell out of it.

My first car that I actually owned was a '65 Mercury - there are no pix of it on the web because mine had dents and leprosy.

Before that - biked everywhere in the city.

First car I remember driving - a push-button Plymouth.

First vehicle I drove - a Vespa.

Ford deciding to put a 4 cyl engine in a Mustang has to be in the top 5 dumbest decisions ever. Hell even the V6 is stretching it.

My 1st car was a 1988 Pontiac Grand Am.

My favorite daily driving car was a 2003 Eclipse GT (I totaled it).

My favorite toy was a 1966 Mustang GT.

My current car is a 2003 Honda Civic 4 door

I really want to buy a 1993 (love the 89-93 body style) Mustang Cobra. That's the toy I want next.

Hey Stinky, was that an English Dinky or SA. Never seen a Capri cop car before...

...on topic:

My first car was a '69 Hillman Hunter:

next was a '70 Hillman Hunter Royal:

then a '57 Chev 210:

then a '63 EH Holden Panel Van:

Then a '58 FC Holden sedan:

A Vauxhall PB Cresta:

an early mini 850:

'32 Ford roadster street rod:

a '58 Austin Lancer:

a '58 FC Holden ute:

a Datsun 1200 sedan:

a '68 ZB Ford Fairlane:

a '68 Mazda R100 (with later model 12a motor fitted, used blow V8s into the weeds, towed my boat at 100mph):

a '68 XT Ford Falcon sedan:

A Valiant Centura (can't remember which model it was):

a '62 EJ Holden sedan (went places Toyota Landcruisers had to use four wheel drive for):

a '78 HZ Holden panel van (mine was an ex-NRMA breakdown van just like this except the signage had been removed):

a 1980 VC Holden Commodore station wagon:

an '87 Mitsubishi Magna station wagon:

These are my current rides:

The only photo that's actually mine is the '32, the colours and accessories on the rest aren't necessarily the same as the ones I owned...

...I also probably missed out on a few, the old remember ain't what it used to be

edit: Just remembered I've had a 6V VW Beetle, and a Superbug, and how could I forget the '68 Ford Galaxie ambulance (built in Australia based on a sedan body).

And then there was the series II Landrover with a 283 small block and tilt front...

I had a blue one. The original body rusted out, so we found another body. The electrical system was fried on the body - so we just hooked up toggle switches to the dashboard. Everything worked. I'd like one back. The original had knockoff wire wheels. Brought it out here and a lot of the locals just scratched their heads.
Some mechanics couldn't figure out how to open the hood! Some had not seen knock off wheels, either. I used to have fun with those looking for a lug wrench. If you had one of these, you learned to improvise.

I did have a 6cyl 1965 Mustang. One of the few with a 4 on the floor.

Second car - my first car, a 600cc Suzuki, doesn't appear to exist on t'interweb .. and not sure I'd recognise it if it did. Can't recall what colour my Escort was - maybe mustard or some kinda burgundy - but it was definitely in way worse condition than the one in this picture and I had mine 30 years ago

Other cars:

Renault 5
Alfasud
Porsche 924
Honda Prelude (with 4 wheel steering - awesome!)
Mazda 323
VW Golf (x 3 .. or so)
VW Passat
Audi A4
BMW 318d

May have missed one or two, though ..

All the following pics are random car pics from the internet, except the last one, that is really my own car.

1972 Ford Escort 1100 L When my grandfather died, i got his car for free. Drove it a couple of years until the clutch broke down, and i brought the car to a scrapyard.

1975 Honda Civic 1200 Automatic
I had a white one. Nice little car until i didn't look out and a accident occured. That was the end of that Civic

1984 Opel Ascona 1600 manual
Former company car where my father worked. Bought it for half the market price. Drove it for 6 years , and sold it to my aunt. She drove 4 more years in it. Fine car it was.

1986 Daihatsu Cuore 850cc
Tiny car i had for over 8 years with no breakdown or troubles. Never let me down car.

1971 Pontiac Firebird Formula 455
I did a body off resto on my Firebird wich lasted 6 years. When it was finished i did drive it for 1 year.

1977 Chevrolet Blazer K5
I sold my Firebird and bought a Blazer. Big truck for our country. All the parking spaces are made for tiny Japanese cars, and not for big American Trucks. When it fits in a space, i couldn't get out of the vehicle

1997 Fiat Barchetta. My little italian sportscar.
No problemo with parking spaces anymore. All i need now is a summer that last for 11 months.
