why not have an 800HP Supersnake? I dont race (i do take my cars to the track to really see how they perform in most situations, but times are irrelevant where Igo) but I do plan on building my WRX out to a 450HP built block motor. mainly just because I love wrenching on cars and its fun and there are the rare occasions where have a faster car is safer.(thats just my excuse to the GF when i buy another part)
What's depressing is when your "fast" car gets beat by a grocery-getter....what's more depressing? That grocery-getter has that cheap wood paneling on it.
This is a light-hearted, fun topic in an Android-related web forum. If you want to question a poster about their car, please take it to PM rather than start a Spanish Inquisition-style interrogation in the thread.
At least that's not as bad as what I learned in. I learned in a Buick LeSabre. Every time I went around my school campus in it my friends would be lololololol'ing at me.

Thank you.
Didnt relize it was an inquisition... seemed like a few simple questions to me but whatever you say.

Btw, I drive a faded red 1993 Toyota pickup. It may not be the most attractive thing in world, but I love it. its 4-cylinder engine still runs fairly smooth, even with 251,000 miles on it. I've made several people behind me mad though since the whopping 115 HP won't carry me up any hill without slowing down. The truck is probably the most basic truck in existence, which I love. The windshield wipers don't even have a pause setting, just off, slow and fast.

I would be as well LOL , but at least you can say "i have a car" and see their smiles wipe away

Your truck had intermittent wipers on it. Its called taking your hand and turning it off and on lol.
Talking about vehicles with no power. My dad had a Mazda GLC hatchback. This car couldnt get out of its own way. It was a god awful faded gold. We called it the golden pumpkin. It was reliable and miss that car.
Thanks for the tip Dark Jedi. XD It always makes driving fun when its sprinkling rain just enough for me to have to flip the wiper switch every 10 seconds..... the whoooole 20 minute drive home... >_>
That is the reason why I would drive like a grandma during the snowy months in IN. My car only had summer tires and my dad didn't want me to put snow/all season tires on it. One wrong move and my car will lock the wheels and I will go sliding into a small ditch or a snowy curb.
That's...extremely dangerous, lol. Not sure how much snow you're talking about, but having been in situations where I was forced to drive in ice/snow on summer tires, it was (stupidly) dangerous, in even the smallest amounts.
I wear snow tires during the cold months, now, and switch back to the summers in the warmer months (dedicated tires rock).
Like the other poster, just curious as to why your father didn't want you on proper tires?
Just bought an 06 4runner with only 37k miles. The wife loves it and it should last forever.
It will. My parents have a 2003 4runner, they bought it brand new and it now has 100,000 miles, no problems. A lot of it included towing a boat that's about 2500 pounds to the lake and back (~1 hour one way) and to the beach and back (~5 hours one way)

Vortech supercharger. Headers, no cats, flowmasters dumped, 4.10 gears, and a crap load of other mods that my wife don't understand my thinking process as a human being. Meh.

Can the moderater that warned me for disrespectful posting in this thread please answer my PM and show me anywhere in this thread where I was disrespectful?
I didnt relize asking simple questions to a person about his car that he should know right off the top of his head( if he is telling the truth) was disrespectful. I think he got caught in a lie, hense he has not answered any of the questions posed in this thread. Very simple questions that the owner of an 800HP boosted V-8 should know like the back of his hand.
I didnt relize calling BS on someone was "disrespectful"
Now watch I will probably get another warning or ban just for this post even though it breaks no rules.
I like to change cars...a lot because I like to autocross\solo and abuse them. Had mustangs and lots of mazda3's but right now im in a mazda2\demio

Wow 800 HP is a lot out of a boosted V-8. Sounds like a lot of modifications went into whatever vehicle that was. The current crop of Mustang Shelbys and Corvette ZR1s are around 500-700 HP off the showroom? Who posted those kinds of numbers, I'm curious to know how much money getting that kind of power costs.

The newer edition Mustang Bullitt was nicely styled with its conservative touch. If I could swing $40K then I wouldn't mind buying the new Mustang 302 laguna seca.
Granted I'm not sure I'd rock this color combination, but ironically it would match the color scheme of my current phone and laptop, but a straight guy color coordinating is never a good idea. (And for the record I DIDN'T color coordinate my phone and laptop!)
Actually he said he had an 800HP Super Snake, which I imagine is a Dodge Viper with a V10.
I am more than happy with my 520HP + Corvette Z06.
I think Ford also had a Super Snake that was a Shelby version. If I remember, it was a Mustang that wasn't covered by warranty but was a Shelby custom job (You take your Mustang Shelby to their facilities and kiss your warranty goodbye). 800-HP 2012 Ford Shelby Super Snake: New York Auto Show Preview
That's it. I'm not sure where but on a track (and even then not so sure) you'd be able to use that much horsepower. Would be fun to take on the Autobahn though. Speaking of, I sure wish the U.S. had a version of the Autobahn here, or that our drivers would at least adopt some of the Autobahn rules, like if you're in the far left lane and someone gets behind you, you move over to the right lane, you know the common sense rules......
Hopefully the people responsible for this won't be driving ANYTHING for awhile....How tragic...I think I'm going to cry...and don't ask me to translate...

Yeah, that 800HP is useless with street tires anyway. A mild 400-500hp car would get more traction and win a drag race on the street against an 800hp car.

As would a nice square torque curve. I'd like to see how an 800 HP car would feel on the streets and how it would pin you in your seat, if you can keep the front pointed forward for the entire run. Something tells me 800 HP could probably break the rear end loose even in top gear.

Especially with an old fashioned, outdated live rear axle. ~ I have that problem with my Camaro. Goes well in a straight line though. But, when I know I have some twistys, I prefer the Corvette.
