How to install:

IMPORTANT:
MAKE A BACKUP!
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG!
MAKE A BACKUP!!

put the .zip to the root of your sd card
(do not rename anything)
(do not unzip)

boot into clockworkmod
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partitions

-install zip from sdcard
one.one

If you get stuck in a bootloop for some odd reason wipe everything again and go to mounts and format system!

Download:
one.three (password is one.three) latest kernel1.0 included
one.two old (password is one.two) everything should be up to date!
one.one testing not sure if it is stable yet..
(dl should be back up!)
one.zero initial release older (nandroid backup method)

Feel free to donate to further my education!

Cool A Good Start...

I like the work you've done, however (there's always a catch) could you include google calendar and its services, plus stock music player and some type of photo gallery app, even the old 2d version would be cool and I imagine it wouldn't take up a whole lot of space.

I've yet to come across any bugs. Even the nandroid restore went flawlessly. Also, is it possible for us to remove carrierIQ completely? I know some devices it is buried pretty deep, yet some others aren't. I have disabled it per a code I found on http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/01/11/developer-codes-left-in-retail-zte-avail-att-offer-quick-and-easy-root-access/ yet i'm still paranoid.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think I will do a light and full version and in the full version I will include stock apps like what you are saying. For temporary you could download quickpic for a gallery and google music for music and calendar all free from the market.

CarrierIQ is a tough one. I've deleted one of the apk from the system already, but to fully remove it there is more to it. [INFO REQ] Details on CIQ from DEV's - xda-developers I'm not sure how to edit jar and odex files at the moment. I heard there are some apps in the market that could disable it on boot. I will try my best to see what I could do. I've been so busy with work and trying to overclock this thing..

Running one.one now for about 12 hours. Runs great. Really like it. No problems that i have seen. I am using Rom toolbox. It only shows 600 mhz. I am not adjusting any cpu, as you said. Is this normal. Or should i see 1 ghz? Thanks for your work.

Thanks for the feedback!
Any cpu app will show default which is 600 and the governor will be set to ondemand. This is normal. Just don't mess around with the speeds or governor it will mess up the overclock script I added.

Sounds good!
I've been using Terminal Emulator
Type su (enter)
reboot recover (enter)
and everything from there works fine.

You do not unzip it! read instructions again! install zip from sdcard!

More feedback. This is noticeably faster. On wifi, every thing is rendered faster. I added a gsm tweak to the build prop, to help with reception in my area. Thanks again. I am enjoying messing with this phone, and I have 5 much better ones. The changes are so drastic.

how are you all getting clockworkmod to work on your rooted phone? I must be missing a step. when i click on any of the options in clockworkmod it tells me to install recovery then list phone models to choose from but the Avail is not listed. if you used a different model can anyone tell me which one? thanks

I got it working and all i can say is awesome! Only thing I'm missing right now is my google voice search. it works with text but not with internet searches. Is there another app like google voice out there that would work with more than just texting? I also was wondering if you could keep the phone as close to factory defaults concerning the apps it came with but still get the overclocking and performance work you've put in?

Sorry for not helping you out earlier, I am really busy this weekend...
Anyways... There are plenty alternatives in the market you can download...
I am trying to fix the video issues I am having with this rom..
I will try to add a full and light version once I can get video working.

Thanks so much! You've really helped a ton and the work you've done is great. The only complaints would be from my wife and all the time I've spent playing with my phone lol. I do need an original stock back up however and i cant seem to download it from 4shared. If you know another place i can download this I would sure appreciate it.

Dont know if anyone else has tried but the mobile hotspot function is not working. Everytime i try to enable it says something about a network error prevented it from launching. Could just be me not doing something right. I am very new to android.

Oh btw stellar build! so much faster and waaaaay better on the battery life compared to the stock ROM. You really did an awesome job. Is there any way for me to check and verify the cpu speed is running at 1ghz?

Can't wait for your one.two build!

Wouldn't mind having live wallpaper option, or even a zip to install myself. I tried titanium backup to install it. But it wouldn't work.

NEVER MIND. GOT IT ALL WORKING. THANKS.

Is there any way of getting back to the 1ghz script you wrote? I think I disabled it by changing governer settings

Root apps:
ROM Toolbox (jrummy)
shell commander
Superuser
Busybox installer (jrummy)

As long as it's not set on boot then as soon as you reboot it should go back to 1GHz.. If you only used the app to change governors then delete the app and reboot and you should be good to go..

I am a TEENY bit confused here. I notice the stock email app is gone, didn't you say not to remove that in your "safe to remove" thread? :P

That might be the center of my confusion, but it is not the reason for this post. What are you guys using for email besides Gmail? I use Gmail for personal email, but I need an actual mail client for emails, preferably the ability to sync with Exchange servers like it was doing before.

I have lost the ability to add a "corporate" (or whatever it used to say) account in Settings -> Accounts and Sync.

A kernel that works with this ROM and allows adjustable frequency and undervolt capabilities would be nice

I am a rooting rookie, just completed my first and it seems to be working just fine. I like this rom, quicker than standard and I am almost completely free of any AT&T stuff on my phone.

My memory isn't near as empty as yours and actually I had more before I flashed this one in. I had just used Titanium to uninstall stuff I didn't use. I only have 62.89MB available and have moved everything I can to the SD. Odd as I haven't added that much stuff other than what you list above. Doesn't really matter too much as long as I don't run out I suppose.

Thanks for your work on this.

Good to hear things are still moving forward with your ROM. I posted before about the tethering and hotspot features not working. Flashed back to original rom and had the same problem so im guessing it is somehow blocked because i am not actually on AT&T's network (operating on Straight talk SIM). Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

Also have you by chance looked into the issue with Bluetooth? When you turn on the bluetooth the cpu usage goes through the roof! and the phone is slowed to a crawl. Problem usually isn't fixed until rebooted.

Also for some reason when i boot into clockwork mod my buttons are unresponsive. Does this when i boot through Terminal and when i boot through Pwr Button + Vol Button.

Im not a complainer but just trying to help you and the release by reporting bugs.

Try using titanium backup to clean up the dalvik cache. Sometimes that can make a huge difference, especially if you installcand uninstall alot.

In regards to which problem? lol or were you even addressing me?

update: after clearing that cache my mobile hotspot will turn on without giving me that network error. But with the stock app my computer cannot find the SSID of my phone. When i use a hotspot app from the market it can find the SSID but cant connect. any ideas?

About the hotspot, i am on straight talk as well. Hot spot doesn't work for me either. I get a message saying to call att to activate this service. Got the same message when i was with ATT. Later i will try my other phones and see if any of them work. It might be just att branded phones they can block. I have a Telus Desire HD i will try. I had a unbranded nexus one that did work for tethering and hotspot.

On the avail you should try this app called foxfi. I managed to get it to turn on and send out the wifi signal. I just cant get my computer to pull an IP address from it. Theres another app called SVTP wifi tethering lite or some thing like that. I got it to work similarly. I don't recommend having them both installed at the same time because it made my phone crash and reboot. Just try them out seperately.

If we are to try and continue to solve this problem should we start a new thread?

I found your overclock script , then mounted into rw mode and altered the values along with changing the governer to "ondemand". And I set it to 1.2g instead of 1. I don't smell burning electronics yet, so for now it's good

Hi,
I have a few questions. I'm in Europe so I'm not on AT&T and the phone is called ZTE Roamer over here(in some parts, anyway) even though it's the same phone. So, I installed this ROM and everything was working great. It's stable, very fast, battery lasts quite a while, except...I can't send nor receive SMS. Making and receiving calls work though. I configured APN settings and they are just fine but the message service center number is blank and it won't save when I input the number manually. Is this ROM only intended for AT&T users in the US or am I doing something wrong? I used a lot of ROMs for other phones before and never had this issue. Also, the 3G icon in the notification bar is always on, just changes the color from grey to green, even though the data connection is turned off. I really like this ROM and I'd like to use it if only there's a fix for the SMS problem.
Thanks

I'm not sure what to tell you about the sms problem? You can make a backup with this rom and then restore a rom that your apn settings was working through. Use apn from the market https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.APNBackupRestore&feature =search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5yaXRlc2hz YWh1LkFQTkJhY2t1cFJlc3RvcmUiXQ.. and backup your current apn setting. Then restore back to this rom and restore the apn setting. That might help?

I tried that already but it doesn't work. It restores the apn settings but the service center number remains empty. The number is stored in the sim card by the network operator and the phone is supposed to see it automatically but with this rom it doesn't and it won't let me save it manually. Tried with the new one.two, same thing. Guessing its because I'm not on AT&T network. Too bad, it's way faster then the stock bloatware.
Thanks

Did you try deleting all of att apn first and then restore it from the backup? If you didn't delete them first it will cause conflict with the network. I am running straight talk and that is how I set my apn and it works great. You can try to go back to a stock rom and then pull the apns-conf.xml from system/etc and try replacing it in my rom. That might help?

There's nothing to delete, there is no att apn when I install your rom. I just restore apn from backup. Anyway, I'll try with the other thing you suggested later tonight and I'll let you know.

i edited the script again, but instead of 1.2ghz, i'm running 1.1ghz, which seems way more stable. the keyboard works without issue now. (battery life drops like a rock on 3G though)

I'm not sure about the sms problem, but I am having the same problems with 2.3.5 rom.. I am searching and searching.. I hope I can figure this out for everyone.

About the 512MB, I'm not sure if this phone supports that or not? If you find where you found it I can take a look at it and go from there. Thanks

Could you show me how to replace the stock Launcher with Go Launcher EX?

One.two has go launcher ex built in. If you are not running the custom ROM just download go launcher and set it to the default home launcher. One time i deleted the stock launcher, and when i did a factory reset, had nothing. The phone was unusable. so be careful.
