Looks like the Official Froyo update is here.

Among the enhancements, NOOK Color v1.2 now offering popular NOOK Apps, NOOK Email, an enhanced web experience, NOOK Kids Read and Play titles, enhanced NOOK Books, and more. The software update will be automatically downloaded to devices that are registered and connected to Wi-Fi, beginning the week of April 25 and over the coming weeks. Theres no need for you to take any action. The software update is also available immediately via a manual download offered here. Please refer to the instructions below for the manual download. I edited my OP. I guess this thread should strictly be for people who want to upgrade to this official release. I'll start a separate thread in the root forum as well.

I went back to stock and downloaded the update. Every time I try to flash it I get a file signature failure. Downloaded it on two different networks with two different browsers. Same results. Has anyone who rooted been able to flash this puppy?

You don't flash it. Read the directions where you downloaded it. Simply copy to your main sdcard and let B&N software find it and do the update for you. Putting your NC to sleep and waking it up will speed up the process.

I apologize for my poor wording. I have followed the instructions to the letter.

Actually, I thought I brought the NC back to stock but I still have the Market (and 1.1.0). I also followed the instructions for returning to stock to the letter (8 failed boots is a pain in the ass). I fear more drastic measures are in order.

Much easier to download the stock rom and flash it from stock recovery.
