I went back to stock and downloaded the update. Every time I try to flash it I get a file signature failure. Downloaded it on two different networks with two different browsers. Same results. Has anyone who rooted been able to flash this puppy?

You don't flash it. Read the directions where you downloaded it. Simply copy to your main sdcard and let B&N software find it and do the update for you. Putting your NC to sleep and waking it up will speed up the process.

I apologize for my poor wording. I have followed the instructions to the letter.
Actually, I thought I brought the NC back to stock but I still have the Market (and 1.1.0). I also followed the instructions for returning to stock to the letter (8 failed boots is a pain in the ass). I fear more drastic measures are in order.
