Did you wipe data and cache? If not do it then reflash it through recovery. You can also try a battery pull sometimes that works.

You have to pull the SDcard, then place the CM.zip on the root of the SDcard(not in any folders) using a computer

put the SDcard back in the phone, boot into clockwork recovery(Turn the phone back on by holding down Camera Button and Power and keep holding it until it says to let go. Then click Volume Down for the recovery screen to come up)

then "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition"

then select "install .zip from SDcard" find the file and select it choose "yes" let it do its thing and then reboot.

should be good. it is always better to flash through recovery.

this is how I do it on my HTC phones, not sure if the Backflip is the same way.
