Right, so hopefully this is the last little ROOT problem..
i did a bunch of stuff to figure out what the hell was going on, so i'll just have you do it all....
First
Extract Superuser.apk and su from this and place them in a directory.
Now
adb push Superuser.apk system/app
Then
adb push su system/bin
Then i ran Ad Free and what do you know. Got root again..
Seems the "Root" of the problem was with nu11u5's su and superuser.apk not being exactly the same as the superuser.apk that i had installed by default. Must be a diff version?
#--CHANGES--# (from previous tweaked)
* Rooted kernel - Thanks to Nu11u5
* Latest ADW launcher
* New Contacts ( Much FASTER) - was a pain in the ass
* New Dialer (Much Faster!) - old dialer remains but the new dialer is default.
* Removed rest of bloatware
* stock htc battery icons
* various tweaks here and there
#--CHANGES--# (from previous tweaked) * Optimized all PNG files for faster performance
* zipalligned the apk's
* remapped the cube button to search like in bh_man builds
* Changed the launcher (seriously this time)
* New Mms (MUCH BETTER!), removed old TwMms. (no FC's or problems)
* Changed font.
This is the official OTA 1.6 update but without BLOATWARE.
Twiz is not as completely removed as in bh_mans builds due to lack of a working rooted kernel but i figure this will do very nicely in the meantime!
#--CHANGES--#
* Removed most of the tmobile bloatware
* Updated framework-res
* new alarm clock
* nswPlayer from take5
* music player from take5
* more internal space for apps
* faster
-- To get the new launcher, simply download it from the market. It's free. Adw launcher.
#--Whats not done--#
* root.
* complete removal of twiz.
Runs pretty quick compared to stock imo.
Didnt have time to reflash this so hopefully it works just fine
- REALLY TIRED.
I've never ran no Twiz, but read that it basically just removes the drag & drop correct? Please clarify for a lamer. (Kind of sad b/c I would consider myself a techie.) Also can you provide information on how to edit/build roms? I'm a quick learner and am currently going to school for IT so it shouldn't be hard to learn. Hopefully it'll just add another Dev to the team for some awesome work.
Edit: Holy crap you were up late working on this. That is some dedication. If you and Nu11u5 can provide me with a donate link I'll deffinatly throw down some cash for your hard work.

Thank you....
My Thanks to Nu11u5 and microHaXo ( I hope I got that nick right ) !!!
Gonna jump over to this.....X-ing my fingers for someone to get root on this baby. Also, anyone know if this build suffers from the same "service" issue affecting sleep mode ?
I'm new to updating the behold 2 and I got a question on how you guys do the 1.6 update using ODIN. Is it basically just the same as to the instructions shown by BH_MAN's update?
Clearing cache won't help you must clear the defaults...it's the last choice in that menu
I can't clear the cache OR the defaults. Did I do something wrong? Also, when I installed the 1.6 update using odin, I put the update in the one package box instead of the PDA. I got 1.6 installed in my phone but I just have no idea whether if it changes things.
Maybe try reflashing...you can check to see if it flashed correctly by checking your apps for the new launcher I believe he used adw correct me if I'm wrong cause I have not flashed this
Flashed this ROM straight from Take5. I had GDE (previously installed) and TWlauncher. About phone now shows 1.6, T939UVJA3, Kernel 2.6.29 (root@sep-56 #1). I have google maps navigation.
EDIT: Did the one package option. Oops. Flashed to 1.5 (UVJA3) and then reflashed this ROM using pda (unchecked one package).
Strange: About phone now shows 1.6, T939UVJA3, Kernel 2.6.29 (root@sep-56 #1, Tue May 4 19:02:25 KST 2010). I have swype.

Reason: Update
To use any other home app you have to go to manage apps>TWlauncher and hit the clear data button. once you back out it'll ask what you want to use as default. (If you just flashed it won't let you clear cache or default as there is none)
Tried to flash with the 1.6 tweaked. After flashing I got the BH Man recovery screen. Nothing happened. Pressed the Menu button and the phone rebooted. Since then it keeps on rebooting by itself. Flashed the 1.6 OEM twice, but it still keeps rebooting. All the stuff I had on the phone is erased. Any ideas what to do to make the phone stable again? Thanks!

I know that you must be scared but just keep your head in there strong.
Now what I would recommend would be to take it back down to 1.5 full flash and the do the stock 1.6 oem rom

If you get the recovery screen immediately after flashing, simply pull the battery. Dont hit the menu button as that tries to restore.
It should boot right the second time.

hey there,
I just update the firmware you provided. Everything works fine. However, my phone memory statues shows that I have zero memory. I could not install or download anything anymore.. is there any way that you could fix this?
Edit: Nevermind I figured out. Thank

Huh, that seems to be a common problem, I'd recommend flashing to the official 1.6 STOCK then do a factory reset and then flash my rom.
Mine is showing 93mb free.
I have the same problem with the memory status... have tried flashing back to stock 1.6 then back to this. I have tried phone factory reset twice. nothing has worked so far... grr

Well-defined process
Can someone write down what a simple update process would look like ?
Everyone is flashing this and that from that and this rom or another.
1. Do you HAVE to flash back to 1.5 stock to then apply this ROM ? y/n
2. Can you Flash over the BHMan Stock 1.6 w/ TWiz ? y/n
3. Will this flash also update your baseband ? y/n
I've been been putting in and taking out roms since BH-mans R6 and i never seen Odin not detect a file before i need help on how to install it. i followed all the help tips that ppl have posted but i guess i missed something
You get the official released and fully tested 1.6 instead of a pre-pre-released "leaked" early version. "Leaked" as in free beta testing with no acknowledged Samsung responsibility. I found the leaked 1.6 more buggy than the current final release.
I notice that when im talking on the phone that if i accidentally hit the camera button it turns the screen back on causing my cheek to start clicking and running programs, not a big deal but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.
