This looks interesting! Does anyone know of a little demo video of this ROM in action? Or is someone willing to put a quick one together? I'm curious how it looks and works before actually doing it myself, as my Behold II is the only Android phone I've had and never tried changing it, other than rooting, before. I can follow the instructions easy enough, I'm just curious how it looks working on the phone.

Okay, So I found an Issue with Removing Most of the Samsung Call Home apps.
Battery Status is Working, but not by the Battery Icon at the Top of the Status bar.
Might be the Script that Removes the Batterystats.bin at boot up.

I'll do more testing with it, and find a Fix for it..
Regard the Dialer, I still plan to add it into the Build, I just went to bed early last night. But, the Factory Android Dialer & Contacts is working, but like I said the Framework.jar need Smali & Fixed so it dont FC on incoming Calls.

Thanks for the Support guys,
~BH_MAN

By doing this will anything be voided? such as restrictions from future (If any) updates of the original UI thingy or the 1year standard warranty that the phone comes with when u upgrade/buy it.

Yes this Rom is awsome! I just rooted last week, and I want to slap myself for not doing it sooner. I had to exchange my phone 4 times, so I decided to root this one. It runs faster, more mem available, no more dumb cube, and this one had a nice keyboard on it. After you do the wifi and mms fix the phone in my opinion becomes perfect.

Weird that your battery is dying so fast. I didn't mess with the battery file and mine is doing fine. Hopefully someone knows what's up with it... sorry I couldn't help more.

could it be because of having K-9 email and configured 2 IMAP emails (5 min polling with PUSH enabled)?? Can anyone who has good battery results try this setup, and create 2 emails with 5min polling w push. see if battery still lasts more than 6 hours

Just Got Home,
I found the Issue with the Battery lol... Um, DM runs some of those services I'm guessing lol... I'll know for sure once I change the playlogo script out tonight and test tomarrow.

Going to Grab a Beer, Have a seat & see if I can Pull the odex to fix the Dialer from crashing Having Trouble with it & smali working correctly on keeping the bootclass path.. err.

Also about Root User & doing Resets..
Avoid doing a Master Reset...
Hit Menu & Setting > Sdcard > Factory Reset > Reset > =

So as of Now I have Vote's for
- Stock Dialer
- Stock Contacts
- Stock Music Player
- Stock Mms? This will work Correctly once the Contacts & Dialer is Fixed.

P.s
My Battery Last's all day, and that's with talking on it all day Long & playing a few Race Car games.

I like the stock music player, personally... right now, I'm using MixZing lite and it seems pretty good. The thing I don't like about the Samsung players is, when you click Artists, then choose an artist, I want the next screen to be Albums, but it lists all tracks by that artist. Among other things I don't really like about it.

Nah ... I don't think any player can replace the stereo equalizer and album cover flow of the behold 2

Plus it plays much better thru the auxiliary output on my car stereo. The stock player ... eh not so much

For those who like the stock player, just download the .apk file ... most of the times I keep both of them on my phone anyway.

Here, I uploaded it myself ... MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

When you have a De-odex File, it's not Dependent on the *****.odex

Good = We can Mix the App's into say Galaxy, But mainly easier for re-signing apps with Platform Key's

Bad= With them Being de-odex, they take up more of user space.

But, for now I'm Off to bed.. But, I did get the Galaxy Dump de-odex as well
I have Family stuff tomorrow & Working on the Baby Room Sunday, so Ruffly Monday before I can get another Release out.

On the Flip Side I got the Incoming Calls to stop FC using the stock Dialer & Contacts from Galaxy, lol but you can't answer the call.. Still, more work needs to be done, but getting close to having it usable.

Quick question, If I'm running the old, pre-update BH_MAN ROM, do I want the old install instructions or the new install instructions?

Thanks for all the hard work.

If you Download the Newest Release. Yes, You need to Follow the install instructions.

I know switching out the wifi driver is an extra step, but I'm not sure who's all running the New kernel.

The reason for this,
Each kernel has it's own matching .ko for wifi.

Download the app called Wallpaper Set and Save. You won't be disappointed. There are a lot of hi-res pictures out there available to use as wallpaper. One good site is InterfaceLIFT: Wallpaper sorted by Date

Hope this helps!

Was there ever a solution stated for people who get stuck in the recovery mode loop where when you boot the phone it goes into recovery mode, gives you the exclamation icon and you hit "menu" and repeat? Do I have to ODIN back and start over again? I followed the directions line by line and waited for the pound sign.... I did get these errors when I typed reboot though:
Code:
bionic/linker/linker.c:1581| ERROR: 4319 could not load 'liblog.so'
bionic/linker/linker.c:1641| ERROR: failed to link reboot
bionic/linker/linker.c:1741| ERROR: CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE 'reboot'
Edit: I should mention that I'm attempting this after receiving the OTA update.]]

Edit: Am I suppose to exist USB debug mode before typing "reboot"?

BH_MAN, this might be a stretch but is there a way that you can modify the rom so that you can unlock the behold simply with the visual unlock pattern (kind of like on the G1) and bypass the unlock button altogether? That would be amazing!

Also, is there a calendar .apk for your rom to have the full calendar show up on the home screen (like the stock behold rom) instead of just the little calendar icon?

No you don't have to exit debug mode before rebooting. Whenever I root with his rom, I actually just pull the batter to reboot and that works for me.

Also, for whatever reason, if you leave the battery out for a few minutes, sometimes that helps to get back on track.

So instead of typing "reboot" I should just pull the battery?

I already ODIN back to the stock firmware (though that unfortunately puts me back to pre-update.)

So before I try again, I was hoping to identify where I went wrong.

Should I bother waiting for the OTA update to be offered to me again?

Some questions I'm hoping someone can answer for me.

1.) I read elsewhere on the forums the newest ROM has the OTA update that's been rolling out. Is that true?

2.) If BH_man puts in the default Android dialer, can I still press and hold # to put the phone in vibrate mode? If not, can I reinstall the Samsung dialer?

3.) Does this ROM still have the cube effect on the homescreen, or is it the default Android with the wide, single wallpaper?

Thank you for any help.

Try rebooting, the SU (Root) seems to be somewhat flaky. Usually after a reboot it will get back in line although sometimes it takes two reboots.

Re: #1: I thought that the OTA update was supposed to support .wma files and such. This rom does not, so that leads me to believe that the rom does not have the OTA update included. I may be wrong tho...

Hey BH_MAN... got a quick question. In the update notes regarding this recent update, they mentioned fixing the USB/SD card mounting/un-mounting issue. Well my wife's phone, which now has your most recent rom, is still having those issues. Is there a way I can check the phone to see if it does have the update?

I already ODIN back to the stock firmware (though that unfortunately puts me back to pre-update.)
So before I try again, I was hoping to identify where I went wrong.
Should I bother waiting for the OTA update to be offered to me again?
I think I might have found my problem... I got confused by the red and blue *'s.
I installed BH2_No_Twiz. Should I have installed BH2_No_Twiz_UPDATE? Wow, that sounds like a dumb question after reading it over.
