I searched, I didn't find, so i ask:
assuming i'm rooted and good, can i start by doing an odin with R12 or do i need to start with an earlier build?
If i can start with R12, do I use the PDA that was posted with R11?

Start directly with R12. You'll need R12's PDA file.

Why the default Music App in this ROM does not show song names in Japanese while doubleTwist can do it? What's the name of this default App?
Pardon me because of my low level english and Thanks for your answers.

Behold_Man no longer works on Behold IIs.
The Vibration feature will never work on Galaxy. If you want vibration (and the CORRECT camera app), you will need to use another ROM. ANY other ROM.

Yeah, I've used Galaxy, most of the No-TWiz', Stock 1.5, Pre-release Stock 1.6, OTA 1.6....
(I haven't tried micro's tweaked OTA 1.6 yet, though, as OTA 1.6 has been working fine, and I just haven't had time :-P)
It really depends on what you want (I want the B2 camera) and what you need (I NEED vibrate).
In my case, Galaxy was just Not An Option (Even though I LOVED it), so I've played around with the various other ROMs.

Google Voice Search?
Pardon my ignorance as a new Android owner, but does this ROM or any ROM that can be flashed to a Behold 2 include Google Voice Search? If not, is it possible to add it from somewhere?
Thank you for your time.

Ok I loved this Port and the apps on it but does anyone know the calendar app this one was using? I loved it and now I'm on OTM 1.6 and I'm stuck with Samsung's crappy calendar app.

This is the best ROM among all, if you can live without vibration. Stable and fast.

Excuse me
There's no email client as "workmail" doesn't work with Hotmail and several IMAP and POP servers.
Please fix.

The developer no longer works on the BH2, so this ROM is at the end of the line - no more fixes. Try a mail program from the market like K9 or something.

If you disconnected the phone while odin was writing to it, it may be bricked.
Bricked: When a device is no longer functional. It has the usefulness of a common brick.

When using this ROM, sometimes my volume (phone/notification) suddenly goes really low, even if its set to max. How can I fix this? (only fix I know is to reboot phone, gets really annoying..)

SD card notifications?
I'm using r12 and I noticed this problem. I went into the Sound & Display options menu to disable SD card notifications just like I always do; however, when I untick the box, I still receive audible SD card notifications. Is there any other way to disable audible SD card notifications without turning the sound off completely?

Problem with rooting
ok, so here's the problem. I'm running 1.6 stock on my behold 2. When I try to root it i get to this line
cat /system/bin/sh > /system/bin/su
and it tells me the the file is a read-only file. What do I do? Am I doing something wrong? Please help because my buddy who has been doing this stuff for a little while can't figure it out either.

that is way outdated....and depending which version of android you have on your behold, it won't even work. you're better off with doing an ODIN flash.

where can I find a good ODIN flash? I'm still pretty new to this. Also, I thought it needed to be rooted first before you can do anything like that. Atleast that's what theunlockr.com says.

don't believe what theunlockr.com says. it's outdated and irrelevant. do a search specifically in the samsung behold 2 forums for BH_MAN. read all the original posts about 1.5 and 1.6 of his roms.

@smcbride152 i cannot stress this enough, make sure you fully charge your battery before any flash. it will make a slight (well in the case of this phone a pretty good) difference in how your battery life is. if you have any more problems, just shoot a PM to me.

It is ok if your phone doesnt have root. and there are no adb or cmd required you may need it for recoverys like the oc jfs recovery or ext2. almost all custom roms have root just microhaxos 1.6 needs to replace the superuser files since they dont match.
