Default Unable to boot in recovery mode

I just received my new bionic from Verizon with 893 loaded.

I want to make a nanodriod backup before messing with it.

So I rooted and loaded rom manager, flashed clock mod recovery.

When I choose reboot into recovery, the phone just reboots.

What am I missing. I've googled and seemed to be doing everything right.

Thanks.
