Default ROMs/phone not lighting up during phone calls

I having the same issue I had with most GB roms now with ICS roms.

When I am running stock GB/ICS my functions correctly and either lights up when I take the phone away from my face or sometimes I need to hit the power button for it to display again.

With most roms the phone does not respond to anything after the call is initiated. For example, if someone doesn't answer and I need to end the phone call I have to pull the battery to get the phone to disconnect the call.

This has happened with every ICS leak rom I have tried (Liquid, CM nightlys, AOKP nightlys).

Any suggestions?

Could be something with your light sensor. Here is an app that will test it and tell you the value. Andro Sensor..

There is also a setting that let's you end the call by using the power button - of course, though, the problem here is that you cannot use the power button to make the screen light back up like you have in the past, but if you want to end calls and already cannot make the screen light back up anyway, then that setting may help.
