Used motofail to get superuser and then updated superuser to 3.1.3. I picked a bad day/week to find this forum because the 'all things root' thread seems to be in transition. Is there a recent cache or can anyone suggest a next step or similar thread to check out? Thanks!

Also, all I have downloaded is superuser, so incase I screw anything up, what is the best way to unroot or provide any preventative maintenance?

Now that you are rooted i would install bootstrap recovery (boostrap) boot into recovery and create a backup of your current system.

you can now use titanium backup, rom tool box or something similar to freeze the bloat apps that verizon installed.
