Thank you dfib. I used your 6.7.246 fxz with RSDLite 5.7 and everything went perfectly.

I was getting so frustrated when restore to factory default and wiping the cache Didn't solve the OTA update failing problem. Thanks!

This did it for me. We have three Bionics and all 3 were identical in terms of setup. All had .905 and were rooted with Motofail. I had bloat frozen on all 3 but defrosted before the install of the ICS OTA. It worked on 2 of the 3 with no problems.

My phone was the problem, but after using the modified .905 fxz it worked like a champ.

the download works but it still crashes during the install at about 25%. I guess I'm off to RSDLite (this'll be a first for me)
Thoughts?

pm me and i will give you all the links to do it. I have to wait another day to post them publicly because my dropbox account was suspended for to much activity.
Thanks for the help guys. I used the 5.9.905 fxz and it worked like a charm, and as of this morning, I am officially part of the ICS family. Whoo!

Question Error installing OTA ICS on Bionic

I downloaded the official ICS OTA the other day but when I try to run the install it starts but then flashes a yellow exclamation point in a triangle and then just reboots like normal. Any clues?

Droid Bionic (rooted)
Wifi Hotspot hack
5.9.905.XT875
2.3.4
CDMA_N_04.07.02R LTEDC_U_07.1F.00
BUILD 5.5.1_84_DBN-74

Any suggestions?

thanks

did you freeze any bloatware? Did you install safe strap? Your best bet is to post here Motorola Droid Bionic - Android Forums for future Bionic questions but other posts on this topic are here Update Failed

could a mod or guide move this thread there or merge here Update Failed
