Default Build.prop speed tweaks [Updated Mar 12th]

Thanks to my very good friend mavrikmeercat for telling me to edit the build.prop and adding a couple lines.

.

This new build.prop that i edited actually speeds up your phone from somewhere to 20-30 percent and also reduce lags. Its very easy to install the new build.prop please follow the directions below.

Lines added:

ro.config.hwfeature_wakeupkey=0
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
persist.adb.notify=1
debug.performance.tuning=1
video.accelerate.he=1
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps =8000000
ro.media.capture.maxees=8m
ro.media.capture.fast.fps =4
ro.media.capture.slow.fps=120
ro.media.capture.flashMinV=33000000
ro.media. capture.torchIntensity=40
ro.media.capture.torchIntensity=70
ro.media.panorama.defres=3264x1840
ro.media.capture.panorama.frameres=1280x720
ro.camcorder.videoModes=true
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
pm.sleep_mode=1
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=180
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=90
ro.media.dec.jpeg.memcap=8000000
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=8000000

media.stagefright.enable-player=true
media.stagefright.enable-meta=true
media.stagefright.enable-scan=true
media.stagefright.enable-http=true
ro.lge.proximity.delay=150
mot.proximity.delay=150

Changes in version 0.6:

3g tweaks!?!?!

Make a backup right now!

Downloads Link

build.prop version 0.6

Build.prop version 0.5

Instructions

■ Place the downloaded "build.prop" on your SD card

■ Use a root explorer or a file explorer than can edit system files

■ Copy the downloaded "build.prop" file

■ Navigate to /system

■ Place the new "build.prop" file in /system

■ it will ask to overwrite the existing one please select yes

■ Once done copying reboot the device

You should see some difference with speed, media performance, and less lag on your Warp.

Say thanks to:

Added them in the thread and most of the lines that were added comes from the
SuperCharger script. I will update it from time to time to improve speed even more at least to a noticeable point. I will run a test to compare the changed files between the original ones and come back with the snapshot of the test.
Most of the added tweaks are to improve the camera and speed of it but 2 or 3 lins we're added to also improve the performance of the phone.

Update:

A update is coming tomorrow thats suppose to improve battery life, the line that i will add helps the phone sleeps better.

Actually i did. Since i am a "have so many apps on your phone guy" & widgets. So you know it made my phone faster & i would experience lag Like everytime i would go from one app to another while have a bunch of other apps open (i dont know why) lol well over all it makes it faster

Here is a screenshot of the camcorder modes. I dont remember them being there before and there is a line in the edited build.prop about video modes so i assume they showed up AFTER i updated to the edited build.prop. hope that helps.

Defiantly increased streaming performance, just got done watching the newest "The Walking Dead". Streamed perfectly, and didn't work before.

Ok, what i had to do to correct the wifi turning on automatically was to edit the modified build.prop line wifi.supplicant.scan_interval=180 to =90. I have no idea why it would be an issue but that is what worked for me.

I wonder why it does that? It kinda annoys me. Does it too much. Almost every other time I use Wi-Fi tether.

Wow, great job! I noticed that the widgets loaded much faster after reboot. Very smooth. As the phone started to fill up it started to get a little slower and this is fantastic work you've done.

One thing about the instructions, though...
You may want to add a line about backing up the original build.prop in case one needs to revert.

Good point, I am kicking myself for not doing this, on that note, anyone want to upload a stock build.prop for me?

I will try removing the wifi line to see if that works for my issue.

thanks again for your work chevan, looking forward to your ROM, how's progress on that BTW, not asking for an ETA, just curious how you are coming along on it?

I added the latest update last night and did a couple of reboots and the wifi issue still exists, I didn't notice it over the weekend because I was near wifi but my signal sucks at work already and so the phone trying to connect to wifi every few seconds sucks...but the battery lasted all day :-) I normally have to plug it in about 2ish so there is always a goos and bad or good and mediocre I guess...I thank you thank you thank you

I tried it and my power control widget doesn't work. I ended up reverting back to the old one and everything works fine.

Thank you very much. I just got my Warp and I rooted first than I put this tweak in. Coming from the Prevail this phone is so much more snappy. I didn't really get a lot of time to play with it. I can tell you than with this tweak net flicks works way better. When I first got phone watch a 30min anime withe a few spots where the phone had to buffer, after tweak no buffer on next anime i watched.
