It sure will. The two main reasons are to kill ads and tether/hotspot to me. although the Hotspot is slow I just need ocassional usage.

Laugh Problem solved @-)

I successfully installed the "One click installer found here http://androidforums.com/warp-all-things-root/490927-one-click-process-installing-cwm.html."

I can successfully boot into Clockworkmod Recovery.

I then selected "apply update from sdcard"

Under "Chose a package to install:", I selected SuperUser.zip

I get...Verifying update package...
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

am I doing something wrong? I had no problems rooting my warp before the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE...Problem was solved. I manually installed Clockworkmod instead of using the One Click installer. Presto! I am now rooted

I tried the one click method and it worked great. Im having the same SD card issues as everyone else though, Ive tried formatting it through CWM to no avail so I guess Ill try formatting it through my pc etc.

I finally got it work!!!! On my 2gb card, I'd like to use my 8GB instead. what can I do besides trying the process all over again on the sd that wouldn't work the first time..
Thanks

I am having some issues with this new upload ( ultimate warp drive). i had downloaded the previous version ( warp drive) and i had attempted to root but my pc was crap and had to get a new one and now i am having difficulties with this new root process. every time i select 1. Root + ClockworkMod + data patch or 4. Install ClockworkMod Recovery it does the same thing it just restarts my phone and it stays at the android symbol and doesnt do anything and tells me in the cmd prompt ( waiting for device).. what am i doing wrong cuz i am seriously getting frustrated. plz plz help cuz i have been waiting months to root this phone and keep running into problems in doing so.

Default no root warp

Thanks, i have been thru all of the threads, i installed pdanet, drivers etc. I will figure it out eventually because im not giving up after all this time. Maybe it's just windows vista 32 idk. I have narrowed it down to fastboot not being recognized. Buy the threads it seems to be hardest part for everyone.

I am following Knox's vid and when it comes to "sending recovery" it just sits there and on his vid it only took a second to go to the next step. My drivers seem to be ok otherwise I wouldn't have gotten this far !! Any ideas I want to get this done and this is killin me I had my zte rooted before the "update" and this is a royal pain ...compared to that one ....HELP !!

BTW Thank You to all the developers that have made rooting our phones and the possibilities thereafter so cool !!

thanks in advance ...Cyn :O)

I hey apollo thanks for replying sorry it took so long to get back to you trying to prove to the little lady that I can stay away from the phone for a little while. yeah I did the debugging. I just can't seem to get a drivers installed. I get to the part where in it you know it says windows or linex in a prius windows in then nothing happens I must be something wrong with the laptop that I'm using it to friends it's a little dots on an updated it all and now I'm confused on how to get superuser on my sd also the other day I tried and it didn't work but when i turnedmy phone back on cmw was on the bottom of my screen. I've had the computer scan for the drives it found them in system 32 but I also have them on my desktop so I'm not really sure what's going on. so with all that being said I guess my problem is when I click on windows to install the drivers and it asks me english after that nothing happens.thanks for any help

Well I got cwm installed. And I got super user on sd card But now it says sd card can't mount When I'm in cwm. And I used a computer that had windows 7 instead of xp and I got the drivers to install no proble but it seems the computr is only recognizing my phone sometimes once in awhile it recognize the phone in the other times it says it's a cd player as soon as I hook up my usb cord so I guess first off I gotta figure out or you guys have to tell me how to get my sd card amount when I'm in cwm. thanks again hey I'm just psyched I got clockwork installed

Hey man i had the same problem my pc installed all my drivers but when trying to root it said waiting on device the way i fixed this is installing pdanet for my windows so after stock drivers are installed on your computer download pdanet on your computer then try root again should have no problems after that

try this, it's been the source of a lot of the issues with drivers I think:

open dialer and enter *983*87274# choose AT

Try pdanet, its a tether but has USB drivers that work for this. Unless you're on windows vista

hey guys, I've been following knoxville363's youtube tutorial to root my B08c ZTE Warp, but I'm running into the issue he's mentioned as well as others here. When I'm running through the CWM process and I get the <waiting for device> message, I get a popup from windows requesting to install drivers. I'm running on Windows Vista 32 Home Basic. Where can I find the drivers I need to install so I can get past the <waiting for device> message?

scratch that! PDAnet actually did me some good on windows vista. installed the drivers i needed to get the ball rolling. popped my root cherry on the ZTE warp. (tried it on my old HTC Evo Shift a year ago, boy did I really screw that phone up.)

I don't know why anyone would do this manual method to root/install cwm anymore, we have a download you can flash through stock recovery to root/install cwm in one step:

@Gre3die3.... Have you rooted ur phone yet? If you haven't already, I highly recommend you going to Mr Bobo's post in the sticky section.... Easy Root for Boost Mobile. Follow the instructions and in about 10 minutes you'll be rooted. Once thats installed, check ur app drawer for super SU (looks like an android superman in flight). If you have it, ur rooted. download an app like Titanium Backup and make sure it asks for superuser permission!! Hope this helps!
