I'm not ready to give up on cm7. Thanks for clearing that up though. Once I get more free time I'll start again. CAF looks like it has potential as far as telephony and ril sources.

i thought that too, but I am working on CM9 now, and making some good progress

funny that you mentioned the HTC thunderbolt downthemachine, Im working on porting miui from the thunderbolt to our warp too. also still working on RIL issues, i might check out the ril that hroark got for cm9 and try modifying it to work on cm7 too. miui boots for me, but the screen is upside down, maybe a build.prop issue, also RIL aint working on miui right now, but eventually it will. BY THE WAY... miui is beautiful on the warp....

So far so good for the warp community, this device is gonna be even sexier than it already is.

I was trying to use that ril, but I didn't modify it, wouldn't build, so when I get a chance I'll dig into it, Joe stone did something for a gingerbread build, but I haven't found much on it yet, I seen some reference to it on xda

Side note, I was looking through the other files in /devices and found that /htc/mecha uses the same ril as the warp, the system.prop has the same settings, i'm gonna look a little deeper tonight, but there might be something in that build to help point us in the right direction

and then do a factory wipe afterwards

if that does not do the trick, you will need to use the surfaceflinger files from my CM7, but not sure if it will work or not

@hroark nope, the htc mecha uses a different wifi driver than the zte warp, altho only one other device that I know of uses the same wifi driver and thats the huawei U8800.

@down I edited the RIL java files, then used the lgeqcom ril class. It was enough to get sms working, but I still havent figured out how to get it out of roaming... its kicking my ass...

so far my lewaOS port from the huawei U8800 progressing better than miui from thunderbolt. Got camera working, bluetooth, wifi... but no radio....(yet)

Is it because lgeqcom gsm? Or did you change it to cdma?

I managed to get it to go to cdma mode, BUT it's roaming, I believe it's because it cant find the PRL

I'm taking a break, got my nam wiped working on cm9, so do yourself a favor, get cdma workshop, make a backup of your nam, just incase something in the RIL goes tits up. I need some time to calm down

I hate to say it, but it is probably better that you stumbled upon that issue, and were able to fix it. If it would of happened to someone with less experience, they probably would not have been able to fix it.

Now we know not to mess with those settings, so thanks for taking one for the team, and I am glad you were able to recover from it

Just a to let everyone know, I haven't given up on cm7. Still working out the ril issues, I'm not quite setup for building cm9, and honestly I like cm7 more. I'll update more in the next couple of weeks
