Default Updated prl info per region

If this isn't appropriate for whatever reason feel free to remove it, but I thought starting a different thread to see who has had a noticeable increase in speed with different PRL's and what region of the country they are from. This may help others choose which one may work better for them. Currently for myself 60686 did not help, but 60683 did, and im in Upstate New York.

CLICK FOR LIST OF PRLS UPDATED 9/29 (Courtesy of Cartersball http://androidforums.com/members/cartersball.html ) give him a thanks , and a like!

I'm using 60686... and it gives me a way better signal at home here in charlotte, nc but suffers while I'm on the move throughout the city and I haven't tried any other prl's so far... but I'm going to start experimenting whenever I get the time

I'm in between Maryland, DC and Pennsylvania, tried 60686 and it was not that great, so I went back to 60711 and it has given me the best signal yet...thanks for this post I'm very interested to see whats working for others

I live in Northern Michigan in the middle of the manistee national forest
The only internet one can get here is 3g i plan on trying every one
These were tested one after another with the phone siting in the same spot
i ran speedtest about 5 times each prl

Heres what i have so far

orginal boost prl signal 1 to 2 bars using speedtest app .50 to .73/mbs ping 386 ms

60686.prl no bars to 1 bar sometimes 2 the bars were white no 3g stayed on white 1x

60683.prl -- signal showed about 2 bars steady sometimes +1 bar 1.23 to 1.32 mb/s ping 310 m/s ? full bars when coming back from screen off but then drops back to 2 bars?

60711.prl ping 317-344 ms signal steady 2 bars some times steady 3 bars intill speed test app was launched then droped back to 2 speed .73 to 1.23mb/s mostly around 1.11 mb/s

60681.prl ping 324 to 345 ms speed .90 to 1.23 mb/s mostly 1.23 mb/s signal 1 to 2 bars mostly 2 bars steady

60680.prl ping 342 ms to 364 ms (mostly 3.63 ms) .56 to .72 mb/s ( 1.02 mb/s when 3g was full) signal switched between 2 and 3 bars constently 3g signal was only full on one test

60679.prl ping 344ms to 347 ms (mostly 347ms) speed first test.38 mb/s after that .92 to 1.27 mb/s signal sometimes full 3g signal 2 bars steady sometimes 3

60678.prl ping 460ms to 494ms 430ms speed .30 to .44mb/s signal 3g low steady 1 bar sometimes 2

im using 60683 because of the better speed even tho some places in the house i have no signal now

60683 works great for me. I'm next to Albany, NY. I travel all over NY towards penn and mass, and I only lose it in the valleys or open plains where there are no towers whatsoever.

Ping 206 Down .35 mbps up .69 mbps Not the greatest test but this is at 7:30 at night.

60685 has seemed to work best for me in Miami, FL, I've tried the others 60711,60683, and 60686 and have been getting inconsistent 3G.

What I did was started out with the most recent one, then went backwards til I got the one that worked best in the areas i roam around in. I'm kinda lucky in that sense that I have a laptop with me and I'm on the road, so I'll try different ones in the same area and look for the best results. I aslo use an app called Open Signal Maps that shows me the closest towers, which tower I'm working out of (real time)and also does speedtesting as a perk.

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is news but I returned my phone back to stock last night so I can send it out to ZTE for replacement, but because I am not sending it until next week I went through the software upgrdade etc and checked the PRL and it is listed as 61008, so it seems Boost has added another PRL to their lists...I left it on there although I was so tempted to change it but any PRL works for me at home and around my area, but its my workplace that sucks which is why I have tried several. I wonder if other people have seen the new PRL and how its working for them

Maybe but it sucks on my phone, but I am having problems with my warp and will be sending it to ZTE in the next few days(or the next two weeks) so I really cant give a review on it either way but that would make sense

I just reverted/updated the prl to stock and as far as speed goes... I guess I'm throttled at 512k because the speedtest won't go any higher and pretty much flat lines around there but I don't know for sure... but for a signal I'm getting around 3 or 4 bars here at school... I haven't tested it anywhere else yet

Default Sprint prl

I am new to the whole flashing prls but last night I flashed what I understand to be "the latest",or most recent, Sprint 61085 prl over from the stock Boost 61007 and immediately noticed huge differences in reception and speed. I never tested the stock prl but this is what I get with the new prl. And I am north of Albany, New York.

Default compared both prls

I was really curious and decided to test both the stock Boost 61007 and Sprint 61085.

61007

61007

61085

61085

The Sprint prl is better for me. I am 10 miles north of Albany, New York.

Tampa Bay Area. With 60686 at times it would not connect 3G after unlocking screen. Would have to reboot to get 3G going again. So far for me 60683 works best. Don't loose my 3G after unlocking screen and signal is good. Still have to try the other PRL's.

Here is my personal stash nOve

61085.prl
60683.prl
60686.prl
61007.prl

I have tried 60683, 60686, and 61007 of course. Just found 61085 today will be testing it tomorrow. I get the best signal with 60683 here in Winston Salem NC so far, but 61007 seems to provide better 3g speeds even with changes to Vocoders and Chevan's build.prop tweaks.

I saw mention earlier of 61008 as a PRL for Boost, but I have yet to find a download for it.

It's very hard for me to find what's best b/c i have terrible coverage in my home, so far 60683 seems the best, anyway when you mention vocoders, what changes exactly do you make? Change Home Page Vocoder to Wild, and leave Home Orig. and Roam Orig. to EVRC? I've never changed anything further then that and from what i read/hear no other changes really make a difference..was curious what your settings were.

I have tried many different settings in that area. I have had the best results with setting all to 4gv or 4gv on the two and wild on the one. Coverage in my home is the same, horrible inside, but not too bad overall in my area.

@jet I did a prl update yesterday when I noticed your post, I still get 61007.

So I decided to do some more testing.....not a good idea. LOL. Did the recommended changes to proxies by deleting the fields and saving, much worse signal. Currently doing a factory wipe and reset, installing the B08c nandroid and going back to testing again. My speeds got considerably lower with the proxies removed and I have no idea why.

You don't have to factory reset, those are easily fixable things...

I screwed up more than that my man. I have no mobile network at all now. On the lock screen where it usually shows Boost, I have 000000.

And the factory reset did not help. FYI it does not change your vocoders back or your PRL in case anyone besides myself thought it might. Tried PRL update, no go. Thinking.....

Update profile doesn't help either. Might need someone with DFS to pull info so I can go that route.

NVM....finally got it to accept a data profile update. Had to reboot and get it done quickly. Apparently it gives you a certain amount of time to do so before changing the network to 1xrtt in which you cannot update.

i tried 60683, 60686, 60687,and 61085. 61085 was the best for me i had 800kb/s up to 1mb/s which is amazing because i usually only get 200kb/s in my house. im in atlanta,ga. will check to see how much faster the speeds are in areas i usually get high speeds.

Seems like we are all closer to each other than imagined. Has anyone in NY settled on a good prl yet? I also am within minutes from Albany.

I just wonder since others are slowly getting the 61008 will boost drop the 61007 or keep it and add others...i have tried all of those listed here on the warp and the best one that worked for me was 60711...I changed the proxies before and it totally messed up the phone and got slower as well...I just cant wait until I get mine back

Anytime u run into trouble, feel free to inbox me, i will be able to restore you via teamviewer, and no factory reset does not change vocoders or your prl, nobody claimed it did. (i myself am not in favor of this idea, its ONLY good if your in a super high covered 3g area, and u never leave there), but regardless, hit me up if u ever run into trouble.

If you're changing the correct proxies, there should definately not be a slow down, when you get your phone back I'll run you through a few things if you'd like.

I'm in Orange County NY....and i had most success w/ 60683, but i just updated to 61085 and i BELIEVE its a bit faster for me...I mean it's weird, i can have full bars of 3g, but it's just temporary it fades in 2 secs, so my Download speeds on 3g have never been above...150 kbps....I want to really test this out in an area with good 3g coverage and bring my laptop so i can try multiple PRL's

Default 61008

I have been trying a bunch of prls. I am in Troy. I have tried 22085, 11119, 12119, 60683, 61085, 61007, 60687, 12121. They all suck for me. I tried last night several times to update from 61007 to 61008 and was unsuccessful. I was just able to update minutes ago to 61008 and am not getting any better speeds. Any ideas?
