On a side note, android 4.1 source is coming out later today methinks. Was doin some googling and stumbled onto this from lead android dev Jean-Baptiste Queru:

We're releasing Android 4.1 in AOSP today.

The name of the tagged release is android-4.1.1_r1.

The name of the development branch is jb-dev.

We recommend that you create new clients, even if you're working in
the master branch. It'll make your clients smaller and faster to sync.

Proprietary binaries are available for Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus. Nexus
S and Xoom will follow.

JBQ, on behalf of the entire Android team at Google.

Jean-Baptiste M. "JBQ" Queru
Technical Lead, Android Open Source Project, Google.

Questions sent directly to me that have no reason for being private
will likely get ignored or forwarded to a public forum with no further
warning.
please believe im hopping on that download.... LOL

[EDIT]
and for those of you who dont know what android 4.1 is, it's also known as JellyBean, the successor to ics. It's basically a performance improved version of ICS. if programmed correctly, it's smooth as butter. alot faster than ics is. Google focused mainly on performance upgrades in it's newest version of android. some phones have gotten it already.

QuietStorm1785

Thank you for picking up on this and contributing so much to it.

Everyone

Listen, I am sorry, but I do not think I will be able to contribute more to this (at least for now)

If anyone who has made a donation for CM7 or CM9 wants a refund, let me know and it will be given.

I am having health issues, and I have to focus on getting my body healthy.

I have to lose about 115 pounds of fat that has accumulated on my body from years of abusing alchohol, eating fast/junk food, and being very inactive. I think I may be getting diabetes, because my eyesight is starting to get blurry at times.

I started a diet on July 5th, and so far it is going very good.

Do not be concerned for my health, I have an excellent strategy to lose the weight, and I am finally motivated to do it (after a very long time of just saying that I need to do it)

When I am motivated, I am a very determined and disciplined person.

I have done research and I think my weight loss strategy is so good, that I will be at my idea weight of 205 in 4 months give or take a few weeks.

I will still be coming on the forum to read and post a bit, so I am not falling off the face of the planet or anything

hroark, you NEED to watch this film called "fat, sick, and nearly dead".. I don't care if you have to download it even, but I really think you should watch it!.. It is a very interesting documentary about basically the most ultimate diet ever, and over the course of it the guy doing the diet becomes healthy enough to cure whatever thing he has..

I think it is on netflix too if you have that.. And I know documentary about a diet sounds boring, but it was actually really interesting to watch.. And I know you said you already have some master diet plan laid out, but I'm still hoping you will give this a look..

I just want you to be healthy and not have to worry about some thing as crappy as diabetes.. You have contributed a lot to android development, and helped lots of people.. I don't think some one like you deserves to have to worry about diabetes and being unhealthy.. You should be able to concentrate on what you like doing..and what makes you happy..

Any way, I think you should give that documentary a try..

Love and light..

Default new thread?

bump this thread!

quietstorm, any progress, I think we need to get you some more devs on this... maybe we could lure someone else over like we did hroark... any suggestions?

also, maybe since hroark is stepping out, maybe for a long while, it would make sense to have a new thread or maybe a guide could make you the OP of this one, so you are the OP and you can keep the first few posts updated with links, issue logs etc...

I want to help somehow, but I am not 100% where things stand as far as issues left...

I wonder if we had a good list of issues if we couldn't get this thing going...

I am going to download and do some logcats, any specific requests or just a normal old logcat -d *:e?

let me know what would be helpful!

and THANKS again if no one has thanked you lately!

Maybe we can get shabby penguin to help out? I have been posting on the Cyanogenmod forums trying to get some dev help for you Quietstorm. Maybe if we get more people posting for device support we might get the dev's over there to help out.
