The new update runs amazing on my phone, is it still necessary to install an overclock app as well or will that mess up my loopy smoothness??! Thank you for all your hard work MrBobo and all who were involved in this masterpiece!

update for text color black on black issue
here is a zip that changes the black text in the notification pull down when you are downloading to white so you can read it: http://db.tt/uCz2jjTf
Please post back if this corrects the issue for all instances of the black text on black background for you guys, I have only encountered it while downloading something, but I think there were a couple apps that were mentioned that I don't use that people said had notifications in the ongoing area that were black on black.
Let me know either way, at least I found the fix for what I was seeing

The OC zip comes with voltage control so you can set it, you can install a different one if you like, shouldn't cause any issues.
I will put out an update soon that includes the 1.7 OC and a script to preset it to what I think are optimum levels/settings:
1401600mhz, smartassv2, sio
the max speed matches what they put on the sequent and I believe is also the max recommended speed by the chip manufacturer. smartassv2/sio are just personal preference. Power users who want to go for broke can then download an oc app or modify the script to overclock higher or change the scheduler etc.

I personally really like the 1.4GHz OC Kernel because of the frequency steps are further apart so it ramps up and down much quicker than the 1.8Ghz kernel. I also really like scary, sio. MrBobo I too agree that Smartass is really good too and if somebody doesn't care about their battery and balls to the wall then performance is the way to go

twrp recovery (touch recovery)
I obtained permission from Hroark to include twrp recovery in the Easy Root zip (and in future versions of n00b). You can flash easy root on my ROM safely. You can find it here, enjoy! (look for the twrp zip)
I don't know how you did it mrbobo but my phone absolutely loves your Rom. Not at all saying anything negative about the others but as many of you know my phone has its freaking quirks haha BTW I just want to confirm again. We can use UOT Kitchen without detriment, correct? I wanna make an ICS blue theme for us

Thanks for the heads up. You gonna share it when completed? I'll go ahead and take suggestions on colors if anybody's interested. I'm not theming icons or anything, just UOT theming only which includes status bar icons, all status loading strips, volume strips, pop-ups with scroll bars, etc. I'll also zip the current white one for people to go back to (myself included) because I really like the white as well. Oh yes, and the circle charge icon

That would be awesome, thank you. Please send to mrbobo as well so he can OP it if he wishes to? Are you running into any problems with theming the notification toggles since they aren't an option on the kitchen?

Uot doesn't change all of the notification toggles. So I have bee doing it manually. Also added link for stock n00b VI theme in warpin blue OP.

just to confirm, this Easy Root zip can be flashed either on CWM or stock recovery? so I'm good to go having n00b VI with CWM?

yes, easy root can be flashed either on stock recovery or cwm recovery (or twrp recovery), so you can go to twrp recovery from any of those using the easy root twrp zip from the simple root thread.

Ok mrbobo I've been following your instructions for when you install a new version of your rom. Ive been having a pretty smooth time with noobVI but like the pervious versions I've noticed that after a few days Ive found the keyboard (either the default or swift) to start to lag a few seconds before popping up.
I found the rebooting tends to help but any clue what could cause it? I don't really have any roms that I would think would cause or many apps installed.
Hello,
Maybe I'm making a useless post...sorry.
I almost don't know what to expect to improve in a next version of n00b. I wish just "flashlight button", because more stability and speed is what we already have. I am using Root Toolbox waiting for "flashlight button".
After several days of heavy use didn't find any bug.
Thanks a lot.

No it's not a useless post. The reason why your flashlight button doesn't work is because of the Warp and ZTE.Nobody has been able to get the LED to come on except as a widget or shortcut like rootdim.apk, which is what I use. I actually went into the notification toggle settings and removed the flashlight button because it will probably never work unfortunately.

Here's a screenie for my flashlight solution using rootdim shortcuts. One for "on" and one for "off". No need to open an app They're at the bottom in center.
Sic rom Mr. Bobo, have a small problem. I can't figure out whats my battery. Its the cell standby using 35 percent, anyone know of a app that finds what app is using what is draining the battery the most. Also reading much about the smartassv2, what does it do, and do I need it? I have noob IV rom and OC kernal 1.1 from dtm.
Not quite sure what you don't want to see, wifi, signal etc or notification things like email or the toggles
Oh sorry, I mean like application icons like pandora on the top left hand corner of the bar. I think it would help declutter the bar and give it a cleaner look.

I hear you but I don't think this is something I can do, I was looking for an app for this but can't find anything at the moment, I will let you know if I do. Personally I never have more than one or two notifications at a time and I don't mind the pandora icon.

That's a notification icon that is in the app. In order for it to be themed it would have to be included with the rom
Which is the best kernel to use with n00b VI ?
I'm looking for stability, battery and speed, my priority is not OC.
I have builtin kernel now and SetCPU.
My best was with the 1.8Ghz. But youll have to PM DTM for it. It's not officially released
Loved the noob rom!!! I have a nandroid backup just in case!!

Could you change the text arrow thing (see attached image) so that it's coming from the top instead of from the bottom? It always gets in my way whenever it's in the bottom, often making it hard to click on my keyboard suggestions.
Again, thanks for all of your help!
