OK... I was going to decompile a few files from ctmod for the marquee and prevail and see if I can get a sort of "template" to go off of

The boot animation is from the galaxy nexus and I can't add OC because hroarks kernel killed wifi and GPS... Even Shins non oc kernel killed wifi so until I figure things out this will remain on the stock kernel

hey you two, I spent four hours today messing with a couple threads on xda trying to get one together, ct mod would be my next best bet... I think our gingerbread doesn't have all the hooks baked into it and I am not a developer for smali files, which is where I got hung up today... I may just add an app for it for now until I get a change to come back around to it, there are a couple good ones out there that are actually close to what we want, just not baked in like the mod would be... I kinda want to wait to see what this update is, if it's 2.3.6 we will be scrambling to deodex again, make sure our root is good and do a lot of updating to our ROMs, the built in notification gets into a lot of jars and apks depending on what one you are looking at, all of which would need to be redone if we get a software update.

not saying don't do it though, I think I could get there but it would take me a lot longer than someone more comfortable getting up to their elbows in the code... my head was swimming with keys and smali files and lots of trial and error, had to take a break. best of luck!

I just talked to Blooddawn and he said that his rom was built off of stock gingerbread so its entirely possible... after staring at his code all day we need to figure out how to edit the smali files correctly... I easily edited all the XML files but smali coding is confusing as hell to me so I'm at a stand still... Im going to update my rom to beta 3 and after I release it ill put all of my efforts into this... before the summer is over I am determined to figure this out

The next beta will include more build.prop tweaks... the removal of galleryics (its not even in the market anymore), a slightly lower dpi to make the UI look more streamlined, more system tweaks, and a customized splash screen... if all goes well I will have it publicly released later tonight
Edit: I have also decided to include both the xperia launcher and holo launcher as both are extremely light weight... (1.4mb combined)

This is an app issue I believe because it happens in every single rom I've run with go launcher. Or it's the go launcher problem. Truly feel it's not the rom.

Don't worry... I fixed it... it was the kernel I was using... so far everything but the stock kernel gives me problems...

I have plenty of knowledge in Java to add most features you would like in android. Like power control widget in status bar.

And I'd be willing to work on this because my best friend has the warp.

If you'd like help then just pm me

The boot animation and sound are from the galaxy nexus (the og ics phone) and I have to manually theme the signal bars myself but haven't gotten around to it.... also before anyone starts complaining I messed up the pattern unlock screens dots.... they are huge for some reason but I will be replacing them with the stock icons in the next version and thank you for your input

Just installed and it looks good. Keep up the good work. Will report back if I find any issues.

Edit.. Not sure if it is just me or not but I have noticed that the battery will say (at the time) 50% a few minutes later it will drop 10 - 20% and then go back up.

Theres two different types of bricking...

Soft Brick -fixable and what I did

Hard Brick-unfixable and happens when you cant boot up, cant access recovery, or get recognized by adb

If possible I'm going to theme the stock keyboard since I can't seem to replace it...
Edit: Yay... I figured out why third party keyboards fc when they are system apps... I'm removing the stock keyboard and replacing it with an ics one

Hi guys, sorry to steal a little of your bandwidth, but I have a question.

From experience, I can see a thread like this getting tangled and confused rather quickly.

If you like, I can break this into 3 threads:

  • the developer's only thread - devs post, others may read only
  • the tester and tester request thread - devs and testers and wannabe testers post only
  • member requests for features and a sort of lounge to share the love and excitement about the work being done in the other two threads

So, that's just my idea. Ok to sound off here, via PM or in my new thread -

http://androidforums.com/warp-all-things-root/569331-your-input-solicited.html

This is a temporary post and will automagically self-destruct in a puff of improbability when the matter is decided by y'all.

And yes, telling me to get lost, everyone is happy with it the way it is now is a perfectly ok option, too.

There is a lib file inside of the keyboard apks that you have to place into the system/lib/ directory.... I had to do the same thing to get quickpic to work so I thought I'd try it and it worked
