I cannot get this to work. I don't have the public version, its the boost. It goes through the process and tells me to reboot and enjoy, but when I test it after reboot with root checker, it isn't rooted. I had the same issue with the previous one click method. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Look in your app drawer.... Is SuperUser in there? If it is, your rooted. Download an app like Titanium Backup... first thing it asks for when you open it is superuser permission.
If its's not, redownload and try again. Be sure to follow directions about wiping data and factory reset.

Thanks guys. When I try to run Titanium, it says sorry, I could not acquire root privileges. Spencer320, where are the directions for wiping data and factory reset?

@djwell.... make sure you delete the old zip of recovery and download the zip file you want. I personally still use the CWM-recovery. Make sure you don't mess with anything while it's downloading, no text messages or phone calls....
boot your phone into recovery.... volume rocker pressed up and power, until you see the little top hat.
wipe cache partition
advanced- wipe dalvik cache
Back to first screen-- wipe data/factory reset
Install zip from sdcard, find the file you downloaded and install. I usually wipe the caches again but not really necessary. Reboot.... give it a few minutes to reboot, usually takes about 5 minutes or so. Check the app drawer for SuperSU, if its there, you have root access!!
Mr Bobo posted this thread and came up with this way of rooting, if you have any other problems I would send him a PM and let him walk you thru it. Most of the guys (and women) here are more than happy to help you out!! Good Luck and let us know what happens!! Good or bad!! Hope this helps.
**EDIT** Its been so long since I've been on stock.... Im not sure the dalvik cashe will show or not, but once you get root and decide to start flashing roms you'll be doing this so keep it in mind!

Followed your instruction to a tee to include dalvik cashe. Everything is back to factory settings, but it still says that its not rooted. My girlfriend has the same phone and it worked perfectly. Any ideas? One thing that was very different from your instructions, it did not take 5 mins to reboot? Thanks again.

This might be the problem but Im not positive. You'll have to hit Mr Bobo up on this....
Build Number
N860V1.0.0B08
It might only work with OB08C.... but like I said Im not positive. That's the only thing I can think of. Check ur gf's phone and see if they're different. Other than that I have no idea.... Sorry man! Hit Mr. Bobo up and see what he says. Good luck!!

Spencer320. Well, you put me on the right path. I used HROARK13's original B08C's flash (below) to get back to it and then used this zip for root. It worked. Thanks for all the help!
You're right...and no problems from that point on. EasyRootCWM.zip was in the recovery mode and phone booted up like a charm with superuser.
Finally got around to using root access for something useful. Managed to get WiFi Tether for Root Users working with my XP laptop. Couldn't do it without you guys. Thanks!
When I try to download the files it just keeps failing. I JUST got this phone today so I havent done anhthing to it. I made sure I checked the "download from unknown sources".

Could be a browser problem, try a different browser, or try and put the file on your sd card with a card reader and your pc.
Or plug in your phone to the pc turn on usb, download it to the sd card that way.
This exploit works by symbolically linking the /system partition’s block device to a temporary location and editing the filesystem with the debugfs ext filesystem debugger to inject the su binary into that otherwise-protected partition.
Download the archive, extract it, then use adb to move the debugfs and su binaries to the /data/local/ directory on your device.
Open a shell on your device. Commands executed inside the adb shell run on your handset.
adb shell
Inspect the available block devices to make sure we’re operating on the correct partitions. system should mount from mmcblk0p14 and recovery from mmcblk0p18.
shell@android:/ $ ls -al /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name
Okay... I need help. How do you unroot the phone if I used option 1 specifically the clockwork mod one. I'm scared i don't know what im doing and id hate to destroy my phone. i need it for work and whatnot lol.

I used TWRP to root my warp recently and everything was good but I now keep getting a window saying there is a new system and software update. I do already have the B10 before the root. My question is, if I install the updates will it unroot the phone and will it erase all my data? Also can I use the TWRP method to root with the new updates?

I dont know how you used TWRP to root, but if you already have the updates then you dont need them again, Yes updating to B10 will break root, it's ok though because you can reflash TWRP and have root and custom recovery again,
On the third question, Yes again, it will wipe your data and install massive bloatware.
If you want a custom rom just flash noob VIII.II. That will give you all the updates without the bloatware, custom recovery, CWM not TWRP, and custom OC kernel. If, after that, you still want TWRP as your custom recovery, just flash that file. Link above.
If you do not want a custom rom, but the updates only without all the bloatware then flash the deodexed version of the update found here. Stock B10 Deodexed
Their is also another rom Based on the B10 update, fully functional and flashable found here.

Re: [GUIDE]Easy Root Method - Works w/ B10 update! 1/28/2013
This is the greatest, easiest root in the world. The phone works like buttah, no fc, better battery life. I am ready to move on to another phone - but in no hurry now that I am actually getting some performance. Great root Bobo - and thanks tremendously for your assistance when I had questions
As usual the devs here rock! This has to be the easiest root method I ever used. Just got back from BestBuy with a brand new ZTE Warp as a replacement for the one my daughter broke (she wanted a upgraded phone so bought one even though we had the replacement warrenty) Anyway got the phone, charged it, rooted and got TWRP custom recovery, now to look for a new Rom!! Thanks for this!
