Default My experience with rooting. Favorite rom and music player. Must read if you like quality sound.

I felt I had to refine the first post of this thread to answer all your questions.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923630 <<this is the link to the thread on xda for the universal acid audio Engine

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?7t7fcacxm8uv1dr < <this is the flashable zip for the universal acid audio engine

http://www.mediafire.com/?vv722521o22eq0g < <this is the flashable zip for the noozxoide add on.

http://www.mediafire.com/?f9gm5l1tmdm6cgy <<(warp cream, and b10 rom tested by me)incredible bass add on

I've been testing this and it works. It seems like the sound quality is only enhance if you use the noozy studio when you install the noozxoide add on. If you use a different music player than noozy the sound seems average and I have the common problem of the equalizer distorting the sound quality. I tried the incredible bass add on that they say only works on ics. I flashed the warp cream sandwich rom, acid audio engine, and the incredible bass add on. I then experimented with the equalizer in my favorite music player Gone Mad, and I experienced strong clear bass and increased volume without the distortion. I like this add on. I recommend you try it.

Amazing that I only got one thank you. Am I the last one here to know about acid? I had to find it on my own. I'm telling others so they don't have to experiment with over a dozen bogus apps. I couldn't stand how weak my headphones sounded. Acid fixes that and nothing else will to my knowledge. Even the phone's speaker sounds good and loud. But a quality loud with clear sound. I didn't think that was possible with warp. So tell me what you think. Thank me if I helped and here's the link for the acid audio Engine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923630

Reading through it says version 7.0 is compatible with gingerbread, but I can't find the link. There is a link for Facebook but I don't have an account.

Edit. Jetaudio(paid) comes with its own audio files a 10/20 band eq, and coupled with volume+ sounds beautiful.

don't bother with the other add ons. You all must try this, play your music in noozy player and open the gone mad player and activate the max bass preset. Wow!

Well, after installing the acid sound engine, I started looking around for a good music player. I found it NeutronMP. I got the paid app. This along with acid engine will make a world of difference!
These 2 combined have made the whole phone sound better, volume, ringtone's, etc!
I have to eat my words about the warp speaker. (sorry), but now the experience is a 1000 times better. You have the choice between 32 bit, and 64 bit sound, along with "LOT'S of different settings and options. I highly recommend these 2 for your phone. Now when the dev's get us CM10, (or whatever) can you imagine!!!!!

The effect of gone mad with noozy was placebo. I was listening to some new music I downloaded and it had a ton of bass. I'll try the paid neutron player. Music is a drug to me the more potent the better. Noozxoide is good though.

Please tell us more. Why are you certain that it doesn't work. I noticed a big difference. Keep in mind that we have custom ROMs installed. That could make a difference. Did you read the link to the thread on xda forums. It says it works on almost any phone. Why do you dispute that claim?

I am 100% positive it doesn't work the gingerbread version has not been released yet, the MINIMUM API level that is required for the lib.so's included in that script is 15 and the current version for ALL of the ROMS is 10 on the warp ( Which is the API level for 2.3.3-7 gingerbread ) As far as the AC!D audio Notifier app showing up in the app drawer or notification/status bar is not SDK/API specific which means it could show up in android 1.5 cupcake and look like it is working even though it is really not. This is why it says "Android 4.0.3 and up only required". After they release the gingerbread version then it will work for the Warp until then you may think it is working but I can guarantee that full functionality won't be there.

I can verify for Dizzle, v 5.0 is for ics and up. Acid v7.0 will be compatible to GB roms. But v7.0 has not been released yet.

I had to go back to a nandroid I made earlier. That new ac!d sound mod totally messed up my phone after I flashed it. The links that harjodh_singh posted at the beginning of the thread to the sound mods work great though so we should just stick to those.

I installed it, and it worked great for me. IDK which rom I was using at the time, but it did work. If I remember, I think I was running Cyanoid 4.0.1 (??) final

you sure it was the version in the link and not the one in the post in the beginning of the thread? Because I flashed the one in the link a few days back and it messed up my Warp baaad but the one at the start of the thread worked fantastic

After installing AC!D Audio Engine v7 for GB, my warp stop producing any sound. Music, call ringer, and text message ringers stopped working.

Default Best Audio Mod In My Opinion

I know this post is old but it deserved to be in the forefront. Version 5 works perfect on my ZTE Warp with CT Mod 3.80. I tried v7 which is supposed to be for Gingerbread and it left me with no sound at all. I've tried the built in Music app for CT Mod 3.80, Poweramp, Gone Mad and Noozy with Ac!d. Noozy has the best sound out of them all, in my opinion. It has the loudest and clearest sound, and the biggest reason why I use my phone is to listen to music. I hope other music lovers out there see this post and enjoy!

I forgot to say I tried the Incredible Bass add on. In my opinion, there was no change in bass volume or quality.

v7 will break sound and possibly cause bootloop, but v5 works absolutely GREAT... I still wish the devs would give me permission to use it in my rom... they haven't been online in ages though.

I bought some new Sony headphones today and something very wierd occurred. I queued up a song in Noozy and the volume was very low. I restarted the phone and it was still very low and not as loud as it used to be. I opened that same song in the built-in player with CT Mod 3.80 and to my surprise it was the volume that I expected Noozy to have. Has anyone else experienced this?
