He has a website. The website's security certificate is not expired or invalid. I went to the site. I paid for the stuff. I got my stuff. I verified it by putting the money into my account and it worked as advertised. I do not see the problem.
True it seems too good to be true but its working. If someone got ripped off by the site we haven't heard about it yet.
The other week I bought a Kindle 4 from Walmart for $50 out the door. Come to find out that is an unheard of price cut. Does that mean Walmart stole the devices? IDK. They were brand new in box.
Is the site fishy? Yes.
Has the site been delivering on its products? Yes.
Has anyone been ripped off yet (personal or forum hearsay)? No.
Should you be wary when dealing with them? Probably.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not defending the site. I have no affiliation with the site... but I do feel some sort of "bond" with it because I'm the one who brought this site to light on this forum.
I do have some theories... Maybe he's somehow buying these cards with his food stamps supply. That would go well with the pattern that he seems to "run out" by the end of the month or the beginning of the next and they're "back in stock" sometime by the middle of the month.
It is also possible that somehow he's turning his SSI check into Boost credit and selling it to get actual cash in his pocket. (that by the way is a bad theory if SSI checks can be turned into cash directly, not sure I dont get SSI).
It is also possible that he's involved in some sort of money laundry operation and God only knows how he's acquiring these cards but he's reselling them to get the money laundered.
After all the other scenarios is the possibility that he has a Boost dealership that is very old. The commission that the dealers used to get were substantial but have diddled down to a couple dollars now. He has no store and is selling his refills online.

Is he boosting the cards? Is he activating them somehow and selling them at a discounting and pocketing the profit? Buying them with food stamps? Who knows, could be any, all, or none of the above. All I'm saying is that he's selling something that has a $50 cash value for $40, and he's obviously not operating at a loss or else why bother going ahead and doing it? So alls I'm saying is something is fishy. Not necessarily illegal, but I'm also willing to bet he hasn't registered his business venture with the secretary of state, either.
I just got a valid pin as well.. When I first entered it a few couple of times they never worked but after going back to the email and clicking from the email somehow the pin worked and I did the same thing as before but whatever... saved me some money!

I copy/paste PIN from the email to Boost site...always redeems first time without any issues
Damn the website was down but I checked a few minutes later and its back up. Lol my heart stopped for a second, id thought id had to pay my regular bill again.

Thanks for pointing that out to me tube517. I just bought 3 pins less than 5 minutes ago. I noticed that after I bought my 3 pins the Boost minutes got taken off the site. Not sure if it is back on but I sure hope it comes back!
PS: I'll keep you guys posted as to when I get my pins.
Update
I got all 3 of my pins from them in 12 minutes. Counting from the time I got my Paypal notice that I paid, till the time I got my pins from them. I used my pins. They were good. I love this place.
They also have them back in stock... the 2 day special sale text is there but they are now $40. I might've gotten lucky and bought the last few...

Just an update to my previous post. As you may recall I'd bought 3 refills. I used two of them immediately. The third I held on to because someone told me that they wanted it. They ended up not buying it off me. I held on to it till yesterday night (22nd) and used it. It was still valid. Got my $50 credit.
So it appears that he doesn't sell the pin to another party if you do not use it right away. Just a heads up to folks. Please try this at your own risk. I'm certainly leery on letting a pin sit about unused for an extended length of time.

The URL is "https" but my desktop Firefox browser does not have the lock symbol in front of the URL like most sites do... it has a globe instead. However, when I hover over the globe it says "this website does not supply identity information."
Anytime you see verisign or paypal log in it should have the lock secure sign.
Go to a secure page and click on the secure sign and it will tell you it is secure and prevents eavesdropping.
If not then your not at paypal at that point and time. It may take you there after you put your sign in info there but not before in this case.

The website itself is not secure. As they do not accept payment at the site or keep any kind of tracking information on you I do not see why they'd need to. They do direct you to Paypal and accept payments through them. Paypal is a secure site and when you pay them it is secure. Paypal doesn't say they share your information with the site (it is in the TOS) they just tell the site that they got money from you and they supply them with your email.
Long story short. Paypal is secure and processes your payment. Prepaid refill is not secure and do not process your payment. YMMV.

Yes once you get there its secure but the first log in screen is not on paypal ,, the browser says pp but its not secure but after you put in log in info then it directs you to pp..
I got an email from PayPal after I bought it, and it shows up in my transaction history. Not sure what the problem is here? Obviously its going through the real PayPal, if it freaks you out that much change your password.

It doesnt freak me out just trying to give a heads up to take precaution.
I was changing my password but wanted to let everyone else know about it just in case geesh lol.

I agree that the PayPal URLs and browser info that go thru the refill site do not look the same as when purchasing via PayPal from other (reputable) sites. I have done some mock transactions from various sites and the major difference my Firefox browser tells me is that the other sites send me to PayPal that is recognized as being US and Verisign, whereas the refill site's PayPal pages does not.
However, I also agree that my PayPal account looks fine.
Will be a sad day if/when the site does not come back or just disappears. Hopefully, we can all have a long lasting and mutually beneficial relationship.
I have not been able to contact these folks using their message service and the live support has never been "live" when ive been online. Does anyone have an email that was given through paypal whereby i could contact them?

I think whatever they were doing has come to a conculsion. Or maybe they just decided that given the demand they'll just release in small batches. Whatever the reason I doubt if they'll be doing anything about it. They hold all the cards...
