Kyocera Hydro vs HTC Evo Design 4G

The HTC Evo Design 4G has the speed, the looks, the nice camera, and nice screen.

The Kyocera Hydro is much cheaper, waterproof, decent camera, but smaller screen.

I have read that both have fairly poor battery life, but it all depends on how much it is used.

Just looking for an ICS device that won't let me down.

Would the HTC be worth the greater investment?

Hydro cannot be rooted so no ROMs or developer magic.

Hroark13, a beast for developers, denounced his Hydro.

I'm on a rooted HTC right now. Dev community is small because HTC only recently released the source, but there are a few custom roms and a cm10 port in development.

Best Boost phone right now until the Galaxy S2 comes out Sept 6.

Also Radio Shack has the HTC for $229 until 9-1 and many stores will price match.

I like the HTC a lot actually, but I like the SGS2 better haha. I'm probably going to be selling mine for like 180 or so + sd card + batteries + cases + wall charger and use that to offset the cost of the sgs2
