People were throwing their bids in last minute and I'm a sore loser.
This phone, It's worth it. Even if they do release the black later, I'm enjoying it now. If they don't release it, I'll be enjoying it for a while! Heh.
Device(s): Evo 3d. Evo 4g. Galaxy SII. Nexus S 4g. Galaxy Prevail (the most loved)
Carrier: Boost Mobile

If its that much trouble maybe someone could do a housing swap? I just got one black and one white from ebay. Both Sprint. I'll see which one my wife wants to keep.

I don't want the S2 that bad. Actually, my 3G speeds have been so good lately and my stock Warp has been running so smoothly that I have very little desire to spend money on a new phone right now.
They were supposed to release the black one. The collateral posters in SR stores obviously show we were supposed to get black and white at the same time.
From what I've heard the SII is end of life. I was hoping not. I don't want that to be the case because if it is, then they'll use up all the white and discontinue it.
I want them to release the black but it's just too weird how they pulled it last minute.

I wonder what will be the next top-of-the-line device that Boost will release...and when?
I find his answer to the question interesting... The ESN is 100% clean and ready to activate on Boost Mobile. The Black color on this phone was actually produced in error and currently there are no plans for this color to be sold by Boost. All Boost Galaxy S2's were supposed to be white, but Samsung mistakenly ran the first batch in black. As I said in the listing, this phone is RARE! Good luck!!

Just wait, that phone is going to end up going for a lot like mine did. Only a few are popping up...
Mine was new. I researched my ESN and it was listed as new. Not a flashed model. I think Samsung made a few black ones for Boost but decided to use up the white Sprint stock. Most of the white ESN's come back as older numbers.
I still think this has to do with the move made by Apple. They decided not to finance new SII's for Boost Mobile.
Instead using old stock and then possibly more or discontinued if they don't sell enough. =/

That is good to know. I bought the next one in sequence after you, from the same seller... I appreciate you looking into it. I am kind of surprised in reality. I would have assumed all of the phones were Sprint cast offs... I wonder if Sprint decided not to supply new phones but to just dump stock and then move onto the S3s. After all they are going to want to start supplying LTE phones instead of WiMax phones in the next year or two... Too much after that and they will have to extend their contract with Clear or just kill the 4g WiMax service to those of us that own WiMax phones. Which i assume they can't do since we are paying for 4g and i do have 4g service in my area... It not being available in an area is much different then just turning it off to everybody....

That's what I was thinking too. They may just be eliminating WiMAX stock at this point.
We're supposed to get LTE in 2013 but there are rumors that it'll be bumped up (Though with a minor price increase) earlier than that. I'm not sure honestly, It's only in the rumor stage.
Virgin Mobile will be the first to get it from what I'm hearing. Though initially it'll be available only on the iPhone 5. They are saying it'll be released right before Christmas. The actual validity of this has not been verified though.
I'm really liking this SII, so I'm excited for next year (or the year after) and eventually having the SIII. We may get these phones a year later, but for what I'm paying a month, it's worth it.
Next month my shrinkage hits $45. The lowest I can go because I've got insurance.Though, I really shouldn't bother with it. If this phone breaks, they'll send a white one! Yuck.
I should try to have it fixed locally instead...
Getting white, but changing the housing to black. However I can only find the sprint housing. Good thing though, the price was about 4-15 dollars for the housing (some included kits).
