What's happening?

Starting on or about 1/20/13,MonthlyUnlimited planswill offer
2.5GB/month offull speed network data but will slow to 3G speeds of
256kbps for continued data useafter 2.5GB. If networkdata speeds
are slowed, theywill restore to full 3G/4G speeds as soon as your
next monthlyplan cycle starts. Ifyou purchased a Mobile Hotspot
add-on, your data usageis measured from a combined total useof
phone and Mobile Hotspotusage.

Will it affect me?

It depends. First,keep in mind that 2.5GB per month is a lot of
wireless networkdata and weanticipate thatonly a small percentage
of Boostsubscribers will actually reach that. To giveyou an idea,it's
about 400,000 Mobile Internet pageviews, about 90,000 emails
(without attachments),91 hours ofstreaming music or 20 hours of
video clips, in a month*. Also,thisdata is measured only when you're
on a mobile network, not when connected to a Wi-Fi connection. So if
you primarilyuse your device while connected to a Wi-Fi connection,
you maynotbe impacted.

How will I know how much data I've used?

You will receive warning notifications via textmessage. First, when
you reach 85% ofthe 2.5GBfull speed data threshold. And then, once
you reach the 2.5GB threshold. Again, mostpeople may not ever
receive thosewarningssince we anticipate it will only impacta small
percentage ofour subscribers.

What happens onceI've slowed?

If you're part ofthe small minorityofsubscribers who reach the
2.5GB threshold, you will continue to have accessto data but your
data speeds will be slowed to 3G speeds of256kbpsfor the
remainder of your monthlyplan cycle. Thismayresult in slower page
loads, file downloadsand streaming media.** Full speedswill return
at thebeginning ofyour nextmonthlyplan cycle.
However,even ifslowed, this will notimpact or affect yourability to
make phone calls or send text messages from your phone.

Since my 3g speeds are rarely as high as 256kbps does that mean when I get throttled my bandwidth will go up?

I installed 3G Watchdog to monitor my data usage. I'm not really concerned about the new policy but just curious how much data I am using. Regarding the monthly plan cycle, what day is considered the first day of the cycle...my payment due date?

Boost should come out with an app or widget. My wife is on VZW and the data usage widget is handy.
