My phone refuses to connect to a PC, and I'm thinking about trying to get it replaced but sending in a rooted phone for replacement makes me worry about getting the warranty voided. Is there a way to unroot without connecting to a PC?

There is/was an App called "Z4Root" that would Root and UnRoot your phone. When I first got my phone in Nov. '10 this App was on Market and I used it. Not sure what happened but it was removed from Market but it may be still around somewhere. Google Z4Root and you will find info and might be able to download still.

I'll give it a look, but is it possible to do sideloading without a USB connection?

There is an App called App Loader that will do the Trick. Since you don't have USB connections you would have to download the Z4Root.apk right to your phone or you can get Browsix App which will let you connect to your Computer via WiFi if you download the apk to your computer.

You could always use google chrome chrome to phone app and push the download to your phone.

I thought in order to sideload anything you had to set it up beforehand, and that was a process that required a USB cable. Is that not correct?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Someone finally pointed me to an update.zip file I was able to reply to get rid of the "Superuser". Now I can finally call about getting it replaced.
