Everytime I restart my phone, my phone freezes for about 10seconds and says launcherPro has stopped responding. If I select to wait for it to respond, the same message comes back. If I force close it, it reloads and everything is fine. I'm using the free version.

Anybody else have this problem?

So I was wondering if anyone here knew of a way to disable the function where you have to password-lock the phone if you have an Exchange-based email account. That feature pissed me off to no end in Android 2.2 and I was really hoping that rooting the phone and switching to a different system like Serendipity would allow me to get rid of this headache.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Question Serendipity 7 Instructions??

Does anyone have more detailed instructions on how to load Serendipity 7 onto an ATT Samsung Captivate? I purchased my Captivate on the day it was released so it came with Android 2.1. I then updated this to 2.2 using the Samsung Kies program. I have not rooted or done anything more than this and am sick of the lag. I'm trying to figure out if I need to root first or go back to 2.1 before doing anything with Serendipity 7. The instructions found on the weebly.com site are just a little vague.

I don't have 2.1 on my phone. I used Kies to upgrade it to 2.2. Is rooting something that must be done prior to following the instructions on the weebly site? Those instructions leave a lot out. Thanks.

been having a lot of rebooting and hanging problems with my s7. What are some other recommended GB roms that still have support? I feel like its time to move on from s7

I don't know about the weebly site you're referring to without a link. However, you need to go back to 2.1 in order to root the phone. I would use Odin to flash the stock ROM and root from there. [STOCK ROM] Odin3 One-Click Downloader and Drivers CAPTIVATE ONLY - xda-developers

I haven't used it myself, but this is supposed to make rooting very easy. [APP]SuperOneClick v2.3.1 - Automatic Driver Installation! - xda-developers
