Default unknown volume for path [/sd-ext] error while wiping cach, NOT dalvik

i received that error message while clearing the cache in recovery. ive seen this before while clearing dalvik and disregarded it as it seemed to not be an issue. but i have never seen it in reference to the regular cache. is this also not an issue or is there something i can do to repair it?

o and i was trying to clear the cache in the first place in an effort to get swype working again on my SGS Captivate (MIUI ROM, Glitch Kernel). Swype beta would constantly force close upon re-installation (had it installed previously, then did a full data wipe do to other issues). if anyone has any insight to either issue id be quite greatfull.

Which version do you have?
The captivate or the Captivate Glide?

Once we know which version you have, we can get you moved into the proper root forum. This will get you in touch with folks that have a better understanding of your phone.

Ok, the regular Captivate.

I'm going to move you to the Captivate all things root forum, so the folks with more knowledge of your phone can help.
