Default Help!!!!

I'm new to rooting and such I have a Samsung captivate, and its rooted i did all the research i possibly could. I did it successfully, but now it been rooted for a few months now, and suddenly when the phone goes into lock i try to unlock it by sliding the picture it doesn't work, if I don't let the screen lock, it works wonderfully. If I hold the unlock button to where the power, airplane mode etc if i tap the power off button a on the screen a few times it works but i can't figure it out, and i thought maybe a fresh install of a ROM but i keep getting "E:signature verification failed, installation aborted" If anyone can help this is the only phone i have use it everyday please and thanks

Hi delos23. Welcome to Android Forums.

I moved your post to the Captivate root section. I think you'll get a much better answer here. I'll keep an eye on this just to make sure someone helps you out.

What firmware version are you on? From "E:signature verification failed, installation aborted" it seems you are on 2.2. Might have a look here to solve that error:

[how-to][condensed]e:signature verification error/aka 3e recovery mod and workarounds - xda-developers+

Your other option to to take it back to stock 2.1 and Keiss back to 2.2 then root again to give you a fresh start. You will lose your info if you go this route though, just warning you. If you are on AT&T go here for the one click:

[Stock ROMs](OneClicks Master Collection)+[Kernels (Stock & w/ CWM)]+[Modems] UPDATED - xda-developers

if you are on Rogers try here:

【STOCK】i896 Rogers Warranty ROMS (10/30/11)【ODIN3】【ODIN 1CLICK】 - xda-developers

Hope this gets you going in the right direction!!
