I have the same problem. I did a chat with the samsung support. I also have the problem of when I press the "software update" button in settings I get a box that says, "no firmware". They advised me that I had recieved the GPS fix download and there was nothing they could do about it until the next update comes out.
I even asked them if I downloaded and updated the Froyo leak, if this would fix it. They said yes, but they didn't know anything about it as they are not privy to when the next update will drop. They also said they could not explain how to side load it to me.
