Default email setup for exchange OWA

I can't seem to get the stock email client to connect with my companies exchange server. Using touchdown I can connect. Touchdown settings are:

user id: my user id that i sign in with in outlook which is my the same as my email addess example jo@consonto.com

domain: <blank>

email address: jo@consonto.com

password: my password

server: webmail.parentcompany.com/owa


touchdown detects exchange 2007 with SSL


Stock email settings:

Domain:user name jo@consonto.com

Password: my password

Exhange Server: webmail.parentcompany.com/owa

Use SSL checked

Accept all SSL certs (try both checked and not checked)


I am running the recently leaked 2.2 OS and also tried with the 2.1 OS. Both failed with the error "Username or password incorrect (Authentication failed.)"

Have you tried the K-9 email client? It's an enhanced version of the stock client and has solved various issues for numerous people.

Email - CapFAQ

There's a link there on configuring it for Exchange.

I have downloaded K9 and gave it a quick try. No dice. I may give another look later today.
