Question how can i set custom ringtones??

Hi guys, Im trying to set my own custom ringtones in my captivate but they are not showing up in the ringtone list...i can do text message tones...but not ing tones...what is goin on...am i missing a step?

Put them into /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones folder and they will show up in rintone selection dialog.

/sdcard/ringtones also works. That's where I have mine and they show up in the list of options.

I use an app called Ringdroid. Works great for me!

Thinkin about getting this device...can you use a full mp3 for a ringtone or does att still limit it to a 30 second clip? I know they used to do that on branded devices

Hmm...I dont have a folder called ringtones...i have one called notifications...i put the file in notifications and it shows up for text message tones
