I've had my Mugen 1800 mAh battery for several days. I fits into the standard back.
I don't have any way to gauge its power or storage capacity other than to say under my normal usage patterns it has not needed a charge in three days, whereas my standard battery needed to hit the charger at least every other day. I am going to let it run down to zero (per the instructions) before charging it up again.
No heat problems that I have noticed.
So far, so good.

+1 Me to.
Sounds good.
Can you link us? Ha,Ha when I do a search all I get is this thread popping up so far. Google and Mugens site returns nada for commando or c771 or casio.
EDIT: Now I found a 1700mAh, but you said 1800, right?
OK, one pic says 1800 another 1700 and no price I can see, keepin' lookin'

The Beetles were wrong.....
Money CAN buy you love, and friends.
The check is in the mail.

Seriously tho, you going to put out the cash for that batt? I'd like to hear one more review if possible so your up Rafael. If I was getting a day and a half before with the oem as eltee said , I'd be pretty happy. I usually charge once during the day as it is, but I also just don't want to get caught short. Gadzooks tho, 45 bucks! Dang!

Can't get anything right tonight!
Money is tight......can't do the battery thing just yet, as much as I would like to.
It's strange though....I went to Mugens website and I could not find the C771 battery. Maybe they have not updated the site yet?
Compared to the OEM battery, this thing is pretty amazing. My normal usage is likely way less than most users. Being my first smart phone, I am not up to the level where I am constantly texting, surfing, etc. I pretty much use it the same as my G'zOne Ravine plus a little more.
That said, I am still on my initial charge.
The instructions say to let it discharge completely to cycle it, and I am trying.
So far it has lasted 4 x longer than the OEM battery under the same usage level. No issues with over heating, cutting out, etc. Very pleased at this point, I still am surprised every time I check the battery indicator and see lots of green.

That's a glowing review. I think you should send it to me to use for a year or two.
"This seller is currently away until October 22, 2011, and is not processing orders at this time. You can add this item to your watch list to purchase later."
eltee, could you post another battery performance report in about a week or so? If your experience is still positive, I might spring for it.
X2.
My bad Eltee, I thought your initial post was a bit older.
That's what I get for not looking at the date.
The fact that it's lasting as long as you've stated so far is pretty dang good though.
That would definitely be a great "road battery" for me because I
hate having to bring a charger along.
Also:
Check your email.
I sent that boosted tone to you this afternoon.

How true sector, but I'm one of those guys who prefers to never open the back door.
It's always tempting to get an extended, but begs the question, "why the heck don't they put the bigger battery in there from the beginning?"
They probably get cash kickbacks from the mugens's and seidio's out there.
I did have an 1800mAh extended on my old BB bold and it made a very nicely noticeable diff from the oem 1450.
I have two pods and a car charger for my commando, so I'm pretty well set. Think I'll be keeping my cash for now at least
OK, Sunday afternoon and the phone just gave me the "low battery" warning indicating 15% charge. That is amazing compared to the OEM battery. I'm going to let it drain until I go to bed and then pop it into the cradle for it's FIRST charge (since the initial charge).
Pricey, but worth it to me.

So did you 5 days out of it, or 8 days?
You started this post on the 11th,
but I think you said you had this for a few days before posting.
Is that right?
Both would be a big improvement, but 8 days would be AMAZING!
I know you said you don't do alot of internet or texting,
but how much actual talking do you do per day?

Sounds like a pretty favorable report eltee. I may pick one up since I spend alot of time away from chargers and when out in the boonies I like having the phone as security, gps and compass. So as you said, pricey, but worth it depending on one's needs. Basically same price point for a same size extended on my last phone and it did the trick.
I drained my battery until the phone shut itself off and would not turn back on. Recharged it overnight in the cradle. Fully charged when I got up.
I probably talk / text about an hour or so per day, so I am a light user. I use the police radio app, check facebook, etc. once in a while and take the occasional photo. So I can't quantify the battery per se, but compared to the OEM battery under identical conditions and use it lasted just over one full week on a charge whereas the OEM would last 3 days.
Based on your review,
and the fact that you haven't come back to post any complaints,
or phone meltdown...
I just ordered one of these batteries.
It's still kinda pricey imo,
but I'm getting really sick of charging it every other day.
I sure hope that I'm able to get the same results that you have.

Every other day???? Crapola! I just want to be able to go all day, I got no prob charging daily. I got one of these also and it just shipped, so we can compare notes.
On another topic, my email stopped forwarding to my commando. been going to gmail to get it, but not getting notified it's there so kind of a hassle. If I send myself one to one of my accounts it comes to the phone but if I send it from my PC it does not. I'm thinking I deleted something important that was connected to forwarding the emails. Dang! If that isn't one thing I dislike about android it's how every little thing can be remotely connected to something else and it messes with it. Reboot did nothing. Hard reset is not in my game plan yet. Gonna keep looking.

Hahaha...I hear ya.
If I used this devise the way most people do,
meaning that I responded to everything that I received,
used it as the tool that it is meant to be, and was more of a talker,
I'm SURE I'd feel the same way.
Right on.
We'll definitely do that.
Did you get yours from that place on ebay for the $45?

I saw that you got it worked out from another post that you made,
so I won't comment here.
Well got my new 1800mAh mugen power battery yesterday. It came with 61% charge so I used it to get it down to 8% then put it on the cradle for an all night charge, hoping for good results. Will repost tomorrow with an update.
Was wondering if anyone knows how to kill the desk cradle light when charging. It dims fine after a timeout, but when at the bedside in a dark room it's bright enough to still be annoying. I noticed sometimes it won't shine , just goes to a black screen, seldom tho and not sure why it does this. Would prefer to hit a button to wake it for a mid-nite time check. I don't see any such adjustment, thought someone might have figured this out. Thanks.
EDIT: Sorry meant to start a new thread not put this here. Where the heck is the delete function???

Reason: delete
In my experience with the cradle, when I use the phone's functions while on the cradle (ie tunein, youtube, pandora, etc) then wait afterwards for the cradle app to kick it, sometimes it doesn't and instead it goes to blank screen mode.

Thanks for the input. That's probably how I got it to go black before and didn't realize it.

After you've placed the phone in the cradle,
go into your running apps and force stopthe desk cradle app.
After you do that, just go back to your home screen.
It will now time out and go black.
If you want to check the time, hit one of the buttons.
It will time out and go black again until you take it
out of the cradle, and put it back in.

PS. - I received my Mugen battery today.
Not gonna mess with it tonight,
but hoping for good results tomorrow.
Yeah, be careful trick or treating.
REgarding the battery , I'm really pleased so far and had it in just over one day so far. First full day of use and in 12 hours I'm down to 80%. Would usually be around 50% by now.
I followed eltee's method of charging and let it run almost all the way down then on the charger all nite. It was def worth the money for me and should quite possibly get even better with a few more charging cycles
I charged mine up today.
Haven't really been using it much though.
I have a wonderful lingering pain in my head
left over from the party last night.
Ugh....
Hopefully I'll have some good news to speak of tomorrow.
