Default Uh oh, that's not good...

Well, accidentally dropped 'er in a bucket of used motor oil today at work. Pulled it out, cleaned it off, pulled the battery cover and got all the oil out from around everything, the o-rings on everything did their job. The only thing that's wrong is the ear speaker is EXTREMELY quiet now. still works, just VERY quiet, except every two seconds or so, it'll click to full volume for just a split second, then it's back to quiet again.

I'm betting it's just got some oil in that tiny little port that I can't get out. Would electrical contact cleaner damage the speaker or the phone? Or is it too late and I just need to get a new phone?

We've sent our phones through everything in the oilfield. A little motor oil won't hurt anything.
