You are wondering which Rom you're going to chose....
You want all the awsome features....
You want them to combine their features together....
But they don't exist!!!!!!!
Here xda senior member "szl.kiev" made it work!!!
You don't have to decide which one to choose.
You have ALL in one Rom
Don't want to have scrolling SystemUI toggles??
Here you can make the toggles two lines!!!!!
Using two features from CM&AOKP.
Enjoy the combination from slz.kiev!!!!!!!
Special Thanks
Special Thanks are in order to:
slz.kiev - for the base source to PAC
Bigwillyg - for Buttered Toast Kernel that I use here, also from source
CG - For just his releases and innovations that I been rockin since I first rooted!
Agrabren - I only slightly modified his device tree, and htc vendor, and used most of his patches
Team Evervolv and PreludeDrew - For all of their awesome sources (I started with their android_hardware_libhardware_legacy, and libhardware)
toastcfh - For WimaxHelper.java and his other work to reduce the bulk of the original HTC Wimax
Team Hydra for a great many forum posts and repo that helped make the rom possible.
NineInchNails - for being innovative and for his repo and many forum posts that taught me a great deal.
dastin1015 - for awesome work he been putting out there.
Mazda - for ideas that i had reading his device tree, his tree helped me understand the aokp parts more and for helping me understand some issues
DigitalHigh - for inspiration and for being my dev partner with MIUI
LensFlare - for inspiration
OF course Cyanogen, Paranoid Android, and the awesome Team Kang and all contributors of CM, AOKP, and PA for brining AOSP development to new levels all the time!
One more Thank You goes to my man Don B. - You sir kick it! Thanks for helping me in the forums and things when I absolutely struggle to get a post in here or there!
Here is my first release of PACman ROM. This is a BETA only release, I will update then I can, however I have a full time job, wife life, etc... I simply wanted there to be more out there to try out on our awesome device. Support ALL the devs out there and the sacrifices they make to give flashaholics a fix!
I hold no responsibility whatsoever for anything that happens to your phone either in relation to flashing this or any add-ons etc...
Please support each other and enjoy the roms, and Nightlies comming soon!

New PAC - However as bugs get ironed out, know that this IS a test release!
Newest release I started a new position at work a few weeks back so I cannot get on as often. I will stop back when I can. Shouldn't be much longer, however expect a few bugs here and there. As this is my first BETA on 4.2.2 and so much has changed!
Also, you no longer need to flash the PA Settings as all that's changed and baked in through the new interface.
Enjoy!
Thanks to the device trees from Team Hydra I was able to solve the issues I was having! Those guys NineInchNails and Dastin1015 are incredible. Make sure to give anything they do a run you wont be disappointed!

Thanks guys! As always, I Appreciate the feedback. DonB I am honored. BTW, I just wanted to mention that currently this rom does not play well with HBoot 1.58. It will work on all others, however many of us AOSP devs are searching for solutions to this. I truely wish HTC and others as well would just leave our bootloaders to booting and not throw extra surprises in there.
Sorry for the rant, and hope that you enjoy PACman! Next release sometime before the end of the week, fixes for bluetooth, compiling TrevE's fantastic Tether mod in, lots more all compiled with the latest Linaro Toolchains.

It depends on the .apk's that are included in the rom. After I flash and look at it, I will probably add the icons.
Just so you know, they can be added to any rom. It's just a matter of editing the apk to replace the stock icon with your own icon. And in the flashable zip, it just needs to specify in the updater-script where to write the file and what file it is writing.
I've been a lot more busy lately so I'll likely be behind on this one.

OK I am going to attempt my new build again I updated a ton of code actually and if it has enough time to finish compiling from work and it doesn't get interrupted again there will be fixes for many of the issues folks have been seeing thus far. I will have to test of course but if all goes well we'll see another build soon.
I actually build these on my Amazon cloud servers (AWS EC2) account for the power and its hard to believe that even with all that power it still takes hours. I may have to upgrade to the xlarge setup. I should prob post a tutorial or something because its pretty cool as long as you don't mind all command line. But its so cheap that in most cases if that is all you use it for it costs almost nothing. Only issue is that I haven't found a way to keep it building after I log out or lose connection. Maybe I'll launch builds as a system user or something or fire it off as cron job. Then I wouldn't have to worry about getting disconnected from work or whatever.

Haha don't get your hopes up! They really are nothing special. I'm not very good at photo shop type stuff. I just made simple gray and Blue icons for the dock to fit the theme. Just made them for myself and then a few people wanted them . Happy to share with anyone who does. There's also a contacts one as one person requested it. Here's a screnie:
Eta:
Contacts Icon added as attachment. The actual icon doesn't have the white background. Just did that on the upload...

That why using Titanium backup or Rom Toolbox is best for that. Also that option from Google is at the beginning and you might have forgotten to check mark it.
We also talked about Data options in recovery before

Here is one little piece of advice I will give you, when ever you are going to flash any Rom, first do an app and data backup, then create a Nandroid, then go play, if you keep that in mind every time you flash you will be safe most of the time.

So far so good. Dont forget please any funky behavior you want fixed, send a logcat and I'll try to fix it. Thanks for all the support!

I have not flashed either since he said he was coming out with a new release, so i am going to wait.
I really want a release that will allow me to record, I have not been able to record even on PA more then 2 seconds without it freezing and locking up.
I have tried all the kernels to see, even the latest BT 14.1 to not avail.
I want the video to work so I can take some precious videos of my dog Silk

OK for the first time I actually had some weird Chrome business going on so I pulled a logcat. Now I know that I saw one thing for sure and that's an issue from something I may be able to help however I don't know if its actually an activity created in framework that's doing the calling. Just woke up so I will look at it now and see if its something that can fit into today's release.
If not I can at least tell you I been busy updating all of the PA code to the latest (only if there were no conflicts, some I could not but that's pretty minimal) I will have to grab some recent aokp as well. I must say developing for this ROM is way more fun than I had realized. I really am glad I saved this piece of my development for myself and not let anyone else "share" in the releasing. Just didn't think I'd have time to support anything like this. But maybe with the way that the community has stepped in and help each other, perhaps I do.

That's odd. It works for me. I even flashed the 4.2 camera and it works as well. Maybe you should jump back to ZR3D in the meantime to get some of your videos. Jellybean will still be here, but you only have so much time

Yep, when I record on any release from PA and also Mazda JB I get to record for 2 seconds and it locks up, I know others have this, question is why others don't. I will wait until CM releases and then I will try and see. I have another camera anyways that records, just more practical from the phone at times.

Its almost ready guys sorry waiting to hear back from one more tester. I put lots of fixes in. The entire rom was compiles against the Linaro toolchains and really has a noticeably smoother feel. Also pulling latest Buttered Toast kernel and battery life so far is better, however only been running for 24 hours so you'll have to tell me. I'll get with my testers and upload sometime this morning yet. Thanks for all the support!

Now I didnt test video on my rom until after I flashed the android gapps 4.1 to 4.2 zip here by Safari king: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1991734 so someone else will have to tell me if that works for them but seems like it should since the modified one above does.
Side note if you haven't checked out the zip above you should its incredible! Stock keyboard now has nice swype type functionality. Photosphere works good with new camera, lots other cool stuff.
Oh yeah and if this works good for anyone that feels like testing I'll update the OP on all the sites: http://d-h.st/bOv just haven't talked to my tester yet so if anyone wants to try the latest with lots of bugs squashed, latest BT kernel with all the optimizations those guys do (I got approval to include in the rom from bigwillyg) I compiled everything with Linaro toolchains, included the latest TrevE WiFi tether mod which works best on jb, and lots more. Def smoother for me but we all use our device different so anyone wants to test and report back be my guest!

Sorry I may not have been clear before. I was able to record video with my set up with no issues. By my setup I mean the latest rom from the link in my last post, however I had also flashed the latest JB Gapps from link in my OP, then after setting up my Google account and all other obligatory stuff, I reboot to recovery again and flash the "4.1 to 4.2 gapps" package by Safariking. Then I saw your post and tested. I will have to do a nandroid backup quick and flash rom and gapps and try video from there as I have not tried that as of yet. Other than that I've personally tested everything else that I could think of but since I have no Bluetooth I cannot really test that and rely on testers with Bluetooth stuff to report back to me. So far so good, but too me this will stay beta until I see 3d work and no one reports any other issues after a few days.

OK, got you now, I will definitely test this tonight for you and also check BT and tell you if I am able to record. I am at work right now as soon as I get home I will report back once flashed and tested. Normally I don't care about Video Recorder, on a sad note our dog was just diagnosed with cancer and we would like to be able to record stuff on the run while we still have him around, thus the reason why I was asking.

Other than that I've personally tested everything else that I could think of but since I have no Bluetooth I cannot really test that and rely on testers with Bluetooth stuff to report back to me. So far so good, but too me this will stay beta until I see 3d work and no one reports any other issues after a few days.

OK the viewing of recorded video we know is an issue, but you are abl;e to record ??
Now you flashed the Rom, then your saying you flashed the PA Gapps, then you set it all up, then you flashed the SK Gapps with Photosphere afterwards ??

I have not used the pa gapps as you shouldn't actually need those anymore even with pa ROMs. I used the latest regular gapps and then flashed the 4.2 upgrade gapps with working photosphere. I was able to record video and it was around 10 seconds. I could try for more, but I am confident it will work I just have not had the same result. If I can reproduce it on a clean flash I will be able to write a fix. Are you guys using the stock camera?
Wow I don't know what is causing you guys to not be able to record video very long. I just did a 20 second video and had no issue except for playing back in the new Gallery and it errored 2 times telling me it could not play video then on the third try it played the whole way through. Weird!

Well I am still on LF Rom, and yes I was running the stock camera that came with his Rom. The funny thing is I was just going to check what version camera was on here and it does not show up anywhere in my manage apps, LOL
So here is what I am not getting, the SK file is not a full set of Gapps, is that why you are flashing your Gapps along with SK file afterwards, I will be home within the hour to flash by the way

Exactly, the SK ones seem to me to be the most stable of the 4.2 gapps for our device, at least as of about a week ago. Going to try another tonight. Anyway the SK gapps don't have the setup app so if you don't install the other gapps first you'll get stuck having a hard time trying to add your accounts and other strange issues too. So I flash gapps boot, set up my Google account etc..., and then reboot again and flash the SK package. Let me know how it goes. If not I am pretty sure I know what lens used in PA as I was talking to him at the time he was building it. I will try compiling in those versions of the libs and see if that fixes it.
